在本書中,A題型文章選材新穎,超綱詞控制在大綱允許的3%以內(nèi),特別突出選項(xiàng)的干擾性,盡可能杜絕弱智試題。其中第四篇難度最大,對考生的理解能力是一種挑戰(zhàn),對于該篇文章可適當(dāng)延長做題時間。本書糾正了目前考研閱讀書普遍存在的缺點(diǎn):文章選材陳舊;超綱詞多,有的甚至多達(dá)20~30個;選項(xiàng)的設(shè)置簡單、幼稚,無須看懂文章也能做對題目。筆者考慮到學(xué)生的實(shí)際需要,為每篇文章提供了詳細(xì)和完整的譯文。
B節(jié):包括四種備選題型。備選題型一,選擇填空題(原選擇搭配題);備選題型二,排序題;備選題型三,例證題;備選題型四,標(biāo)題題。其中選擇搭配題和排序題主要考察考生把握篇章整體結(jié)構(gòu)和推測作者寫作意圖的能力。例證題和標(biāo)題題考察學(xué)生分辨論點(diǎn)和論據(jù)的能力。
應(yīng)該注意的是,雖然很多考生對B題型感到比較陌生,但這種題型的測試思想和實(shí)踐在國內(nèi)外其他考試中存在已經(jīng)有一段比較長的歷史了。根據(jù)筆者這些年對于這類試題的教學(xué)研究,在應(yīng)對這種題型時考生切忌盲目輕信所謂的技巧,而應(yīng)該重視科學(xué)的試題和科學(xué)的訓(xùn)練。以往這方面出現(xiàn)的問題比較多,應(yīng)該吸收的教訓(xùn)也不少。很多同學(xué)由于平時訓(xùn)練難度不夠,或者訓(xùn)練材料科學(xué)性不強(qiáng),不能適應(yīng)考場上高難度實(shí)考題。本書試題嚴(yán)格按照最新大綱編寫,具有很高的信度和效度,具有很強(qiáng)的科學(xué)性。
作者簡介

版權(quán)頁:Supporters of the surgery say the sisters, intelligent and well-educated law schoolgraduates, understood the risks and had every right to take them. Critics argue that therisks were too high and that doctors had an ethical obligation to say no.The decision to operate was defended by Dr. Benjamin S. Carson, who was part of the team of doctors to work on the Bijanis. Dr. Carson was called in by doctors in Singa-pore because he had separated several sets of infants joined at the head. At a press conference in Singapore shortly after the women died, Dr. Carson said they were so determined to be separated that he felt compelled to try to help them, adding, "I was convinced the ywould seek separation no matter who performed the surgery. "Dr. Mark Siegler, director of the MacLean Ethics Center at the University of Chicago, said that even though the twins consented to the operation, it violated ethical standards for experimental surgery and should not have been done. What made him oppose the surgery was the 50 percent risk of death. "You need responsible judgment on the part ofthe surgeon. " he said. "For an operation that was not medically necessary, a 50 percentrisk of death was too high. Such high risks are acceptable when a patient is likely to diewithout surgery. But that wasn't the case here, where the surgery was done not to savelives but primarily to meet the psychological needs of the twins. " Dr. Siegler said it wasalso troubling that the team in Singapore had decided to go ahead with the operation eventhough other surgeons had declined on at least two occasions, saying it was too dangerous and likely to kill one or both twins. And he questioned the surgeons' decision to proceed atthe representative's request when their medical judgment seemed to suggest a differentcourse.
