21世紀(jì)大學(xué)新英語讀寫譯教程教學(xué)參考書

前言

　　2007年出版的《大學(xué)英語課程教學(xué)要求》（以下簡稱《課程要求》）是指導(dǎo)我國大學(xué)英語教學(xué)的一個綱領(lǐng)性文件?！墩n程要求》對大學(xué)英語教學(xué)的定位是：“大學(xué)英語是以外語教學(xué)理論為指導(dǎo)，以英語語言知識與應(yīng)用技能、跨文化交際和學(xué)習(xí)策略為主要內(nèi)容，并集多種教學(xué)模式和教學(xué)手段為一體的教學(xué)體系”。大學(xué)英語的教學(xué)目標(biāo)是“培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的英語綜合應(yīng)用能力，……同時增強(qiáng)其自主學(xué)習(xí)能力，提高綜合文化素養(yǎng)，以適應(yīng)我國社會發(fā)展和國際交流的需要”?！　¤b于我國幅員遼闊，地區(qū)與地區(qū)之間、高校與高校之間客觀上存在較大差異，《課程要求》提出了“分類指導(dǎo)、因材施教”的原則。其具體體現(xiàn)為大學(xué)英語教學(xué)分為三個層次：一般要求、較高要求和更高要求。其中的一般要求為高等學(xué)校非英語專業(yè)本科畢業(yè)生應(yīng)達(dá)到的基本要求；較高要求或更高要求適用于對辦學(xué)定位、類型和人才培養(yǎng)目標(biāo)定位較高的學(xué)校?！　　墩n程要求》提出構(gòu)建大學(xué)英語課程體系。該課程體系既包括必修課程和選修課程，也涵蓋不同課程類別：綜合英語類、語言技能類、英語應(yīng)用類、語言文化類和專業(yè)英語類。　　《課程要求》提出一種綜合教學(xué)模式，即采用基于計算機(jī)和課堂的英語教學(xué)模式；在充分利用現(xiàn)代信息技術(shù)的同時，繼承和發(fā)揚(yáng)傳統(tǒng)課堂教學(xué)的優(yōu)勢?！　　?1世紀(jì)大學(xué)新英語讀寫譯》系列教材力求體現(xiàn)《課程要求》的原則和精神，在編寫宗旨、單元設(shè)計、材料選擇、課堂活動和課堂練習(xí)的設(shè)計上力圖忠實(shí)地詮釋《課程要求》的各項指標(biāo)。本系列教材為綜合英語類的必修課程教材?！　∫弧⒕帉懣倓t　　本系列教材以《大學(xué)英語課程教學(xué)要求》為準(zhǔn)則，以先進(jìn)的外語教學(xué)理論為指導(dǎo)。教材的總體設(shè)計體現(xiàn)“以人為本”的人文主義教育觀，注重培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的人文素質(zhì)。教材編寫堅持做到“四個結(jié)合”：語言知識與語言技能相結(jié)合、單項技能與綜合應(yīng)用能力相結(jié)合、語言教學(xué)與文化傳授相結(jié)合、課堂教學(xué)與自主學(xué)習(xí)相結(jié)合。教材編寫注重對學(xué)生的“多維度”“一體化”培養(yǎng)：即語言能力、學(xué)習(xí)策略、文化素養(yǎng)的同步培養(yǎng)。在教學(xué)模式上本系列教材著重構(gòu)建多層次、立體化教學(xué)模式?！　《⑦x材要求　　在編寫過程中我們力圖使內(nèi)容具有時代性、趣味性、可思性和人文性；既要反映時代潮流，又要具有思想深度和弘揚(yáng)積極的人生態(tài)度。語言難度適中，同時具有可教性。體裁和題材要體現(xiàn)多樣性。

　　《普通高等教育“十一五”國家級規(guī)劃教材·21世紀(jì)大學(xué)新英語系列：21世紀(jì)大學(xué)新英語讀寫譯教程教學(xué)參考書（4）》力求體現(xiàn)《課程要求》的原則和精神，在編寫宗旨、單元設(shè)計、材料選擇、課堂活動和課堂練習(xí)的設(shè)計上力圖忠實(shí)地詮釋《課程要求》的各項指標(biāo)。本系列教材為綜合英語類的必修課程教材。

作者簡介

　　鄒申，上海外國語大學(xué)英語學(xué)院教授、博士、博士生導(dǎo)師。教育部高等學(xué)校外語專業(yè)教學(xué)指導(dǎo)委員會委員、英語專業(yè)教學(xué)分指導(dǎo)委員會副主任委員，享受國務(wù)院政府特殊津貼。近年來主要從事外語教學(xué)法及語言測試研究，曾主持1993年、1996版及2004版高校英語專業(yè)四、八級考試大綱的修訂工作。目前負(fù)責(zé)英語專業(yè)四、八級考試的相關(guān)研究及工作。已發(fā)表相關(guān)論文數(shù)十篇，主要有：《考試評估中的信息反饋》、《TEM8寫作能力評估——要求、問題及對策》、《試論口語測試的真實(shí)性》；主編的教材有：《簡明英語測試教程》、《語言測試》（研究生教材）、《英語寫作》（本科生系列教材），其中《簡明英語測試教程》獲2002年教育部全國普通高校優(yōu)秀教材一等獎；《英語寫作》系列教材獲2009年上海市高等教育教學(xué)成果二等獎。　　李戰(zhàn)子，南京解放軍國際關(guān)系學(xué)院二系主任，教授、博士、博士生導(dǎo)師。自1999年起連年獲國際關(guān)系學(xué)院優(yōu)秀教員、優(yōu)秀教學(xué)工作一等獎、科研先進(jìn)個人等稱號。2001年獲全軍院校育才金獎；2003年獲總參優(yōu)秀中青年專家稱號；2005年、2006年獲國際關(guān)系學(xué)院專業(yè)技術(shù)重大貢獻(xiàn)獎；2007年被評為全軍優(yōu)秀教師；2001年參加“軍事外交英語專業(yè)課程體系建設(shè)”獲軍隊教學(xué)一等獎暨國家教學(xué)二等獎（合作，五人中排名第二）；2009年3月《新型軍事外交學(xué)科專業(yè)體系建設(shè)》項目獲院教學(xué)成果三等獎（五人中排名第一）?！　〗鼛啄瓿霭娴闹饔校骸墩Z言學(xué)簡明教程》（第二主編）、《語言學(xué)教程》（參編）、《語言學(xué)高級教程》（參編）、《系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)概論》（參編）。

　　Nothing prepared Lily Honegger for what she saw on her first Red Sea dive in 1972. A scubanovice， she had braved only the chilly， relatively lifeless Mediterranean. But off the coast of Sudan，she discovered a community of coral and manta rays， reef sharks and tropical fish. She marveled atnature's palette， with its startling yellows， brown-tinged reds and bold blues. Then a fashion buyer，Honegger thought："Someone should make a collection out of this."　　A collection， it turns out， and a career. Photographic film has since become Honegger's fabric， thesea her muse. She and her husband Otto have created a pictorial record of the creatures found in andaround coral reefs. The Swiss couple's images capture elements of marine life even more colorful thanthose they first saw in the Red Sea.　　The Honeggers make three or four diving trips annually. First， they pick a destination. They go tothe Maldives at least once a year and also dive frequently in Indonesia. Next comes research： whatcreatures can we expect to find， at what depth and on which reef？ Then there are the logistics， frompreparing their two underwater cameras and packing the dozens of rolls of film needed on a three-weektrip to arranging boats to take them out to sea.　　The two view the underwater world from different perspectives. Take the blue giant clam. LilyHonegger， her eye trained by the fashion world to look for patterns and hues， sees robust swirls andstripes of blue and black. "The combination of colors is unbelievable，" she says. "This is abstract art，and a painter couldn't do better." Otto Honegger examines， with his scientist's lens， a living， breathingsample of Tridacna maxima， one of the more common giant clams， with a range from East Africa toPolynesia. As a youth， he had wanted to become a scientist. For family reasons， he studied businessinstead. Now a television producer， Otto finds marine photography a way of returning to his first love，biology.　　……
