在目前的中、高考英語(yǔ)考試中,學(xué)生在單項(xiàng)填空、完形填空、書(shū)面表達(dá)等題型上失分率很高,反映了不少學(xué)生的詞匯和語(yǔ)法知識(shí)不夠扎實(shí),詞匯和語(yǔ)法的熟練運(yùn)用能力不強(qiáng)。而在使用新課標(biāo)教材的過(guò)程中,大多數(shù)教師和學(xué)生也普遍感覺(jué)詞匯學(xué)習(xí)的負(fù)擔(dān)很重,語(yǔ)法學(xué)習(xí)不夠系統(tǒng)。究其原因,一方面是新課標(biāo)教材的詞匯量顯著增加,且對(duì)于詞匯學(xué)習(xí)采用了主題化和語(yǔ)境化的設(shè)計(jì)思路,雖然這種設(shè)計(jì)有利于課堂教學(xué),使學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)詞匯不再覺(jué)得枯燥,但使得教材中單詞的復(fù)現(xiàn)率較以前的教材有所下降;另一方面是新課標(biāo)教材采用了發(fā)現(xiàn)式語(yǔ)法教學(xué),與以前的教材相比,語(yǔ)法講解更簡(jiǎn)單,練習(xí)答案更直接,但所設(shè)計(jì)的練習(xí)在層次、靈活性、難度方面,與中、高考試題還有一定的距離,學(xué)生難以通過(guò)這些文章和練習(xí)得到有效的應(yīng)考訓(xùn)練,因此教師普遍感到心中沒(méi)有把握。 在新課改的要求下,現(xiàn)在的英語(yǔ)考試已經(jīng)由知識(shí)立意轉(zhuǎn)向能力立意,但是語(yǔ)言知識(shí)在試卷中的地位、在語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)中的作用仍然非常重要、不可替代,教師在教學(xué)中不應(yīng)有絲毫的忽視。所以,針對(duì)廣大教師和學(xué)生在使用新課標(biāo)教材過(guò)程中遇到的上述問(wèn)題,我們組織了一批具有豐富教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)的一線(xiàn)名師編寫(xiě)了這套圖書(shū)。書(shū)中的練習(xí)結(jié)合語(yǔ)境和語(yǔ)言運(yùn)用,主要與讀、寫(xiě)兩種語(yǔ)言運(yùn)用活動(dòng)相聯(lián)系,對(duì)詞匯和語(yǔ)法的考查不再停留于單純的記憶層次,而是體現(xiàn)在有具體語(yǔ)言環(huán)境的句子或短文中,并按照基礎(chǔ)測(cè)試、能力檢測(cè)和能力提高的順序編寫(xiě),其中能力提高練習(xí)部分緊密地結(jié)合當(dāng)前的中、高考題型。本書(shū)旨在通過(guò)形式多樣的練習(xí)來(lái)增加詞匯的復(fù)現(xiàn)率,以幫助學(xué)生從多個(gè)角度接觸和運(yùn)用詞匯,從而做到活學(xué)活用。同時(shí),也力求通過(guò)對(duì)語(yǔ)法的精講巧練,幫助學(xué)生系統(tǒng)地梳理和掌握中學(xué)階段所需的語(yǔ)法知識(shí),彌補(bǔ)新教材中語(yǔ)法知識(shí)點(diǎn)分散、練習(xí)量欠缺的不足。 全書(shū)按周次編排,每周的周一、周三為詞匯練習(xí),周二和周四為語(yǔ)法練習(xí),周五為綜合練習(xí)。周末的“本周說(shuō)‘詞’”和“本周說(shuō)‘法’”兩個(gè)部分結(jié)合中、高考??伎键c(diǎn),對(duì)該周練習(xí)的重點(diǎn)詞匯和語(yǔ)法進(jìn)行梳理及講解。本書(shū)采用活頁(yè)裝訂,便于教師安排課堂檢測(cè)或課后學(xué)生自測(cè)。

Our neighbor’S son was getting married at all out-of-town church,and my husband and 1 were invited.We immediately rushed out to a store,and I bought a nice pink dress with ajacket.The dress was atittletight,butIhadamonthtogobeforethe June 30weddingandthatwoddbe all right forme. June 29 came and,of course,I hadn’t lost a single pound;in fact I had gained two.But I thought a nice new girdle would cure everything.So on our way out of the city we stopped once again at the store.I ran in and told the clerk I needed a size large party girdle.The clerk found the box with the describe girdle marked‘LG”,and asked if 1 wound like to try it on.“Oh,no,a large will fitjust fight.I needn’t try it on.” The next morning was rather hot,one of those thirty-four-degree days,I suppose,SO 1 waited to get dressed until about 45 minutes before time to go.I popped open the box only to find a new girdle in a small size.Since it was too late tO find another one and the dress’wouldn’t fit right without a girdle,a fight broke out in the hotel room between me and the girdle.Have y-ou ever trie-d to shake 20 pounds of potato into a five-pound bag?That’S it.Finally my husband,laughing like crazy,got hold of each side and shook me down into it.At once I put on the pink dress,which didn’t go very well with my red face.and was ready tO go. Finally we got tO the church.I heard one of the people say that they were having a High Mass. I turned to my husband and asked,‘‘What is a High Mass?”he shrugged his shoulders. Unfortunately,I learned that this particular mass would 1ast one hour,twenty-two minutes and eight and one half seconds-the priest(神甫)was going to bless everything except my girdle.
