內(nèi)容概要

格是語(yǔ)言系統(tǒng)中的基本范疇，既使在并不相關(guān)的語(yǔ)言中，也以各種表面上有著明顯差別的方式出現(xiàn)。菲爾墨的The Case for Case就曾試圖對(duì)形形色色的格形式下的普遍原則進(jìn)行探討。本書抓住了那些為適應(yīng)不同的語(yǔ)言而產(chǎn)生的變異來(lái)探索它們的意義，所提供的背景有助于最好地理解特定語(yǔ)言中的格標(biāo)記。    本書1994年初版，2001年修訂。在修訂版中，對(duì)重要概念的論述作了擴(kuò)充和改進(jìn)，吸收了當(dāng)前研究中的最新進(jìn)展，并在Chomsky的理論框架下探討了抽象格的概念。
