作者簡(jiǎn)介

  馬丁(J.R.Martin),博士,國(guó)際著名系統(tǒng)功能語(yǔ)言學(xué)學(xué)家,悉尼大學(xué)教授、語(yǔ)言學(xué)系系主任,“語(yǔ)言評(píng)價(jià)理論”和“積極話語(yǔ)分析”創(chuàng)始人。研究興趣主要有系統(tǒng)理論、功能理論、語(yǔ)篇語(yǔ)義學(xué)、語(yǔ)域理論、語(yǔ)類理論、多模式系統(tǒng)、積極/批評(píng)話語(yǔ)分析、教育語(yǔ)言學(xué)和社會(huì)符號(hào)學(xué)。1998年當(dāng)選為澳大利亞人文學(xué)會(huì)研究員,2003年因其對(duì)語(yǔ)言學(xué)和語(yǔ)文學(xué)的貢獻(xiàn)榮獲澳大利亞“百年紀(jì)念獎(jiǎng)?wù)隆?。曾任Text雜志“評(píng)價(jià)系統(tǒng)”專刊主編(2003),Discourse&Society??峡骶帲?004)。發(fā)表論文140多篇,出版著作數(shù)十部。代表性著作有English

  王振華,博士,上海交通大學(xué)外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)院教授、博士生導(dǎo)師、學(xué)科負(fù)責(zé)人、英語(yǔ)系副主任、外國(guó)語(yǔ)言文學(xué)博士后流動(dòng)站站長(zhǎng)。曾任河南大學(xué)外語(yǔ)學(xué)院科研副院長(zhǎng),河南省教育廳學(xué)術(shù)技術(shù)帶頭人。1999年獲澳大利亞悉尼大學(xué)語(yǔ)言學(xué)碩士學(xué)位,2003年獲河南大學(xué)語(yǔ)言學(xué)博士學(xué)位,2004年入復(fù)旦大學(xué)外國(guó)語(yǔ)言文學(xué)博士后站,研究課題為《語(yǔ)言評(píng)價(jià)系統(tǒng)與司法語(yǔ)言規(guī)范研究》。兼任中國(guó)功能語(yǔ)言學(xué)研究會(huì)副會(huì)長(zhǎng);中國(guó)英漢語(yǔ)篇研究會(huì)副會(huì)長(zhǎng);中國(guó)法律語(yǔ)言學(xué)研究會(huì)副會(huì)長(zhǎng);金博大律師事務(wù)所上海分所專家顧問(wèn);《當(dāng)代外語(yǔ)研究》和《功能語(yǔ)言學(xué)與語(yǔ)篇分析研究》編委;英國(guó)Classroom

  Further recontextualisation in the interests of solidarity have taken placeover the years during performances of the song. The 'tall stranger' of Kelly's song is of course Gough Whitlam, the Labor Prime Minister who let Australia out of colonialism into a new realm of social possibilities in the early 70s;performing an acoustic version of the song to a generationally mixed audience atan RSL club in January 1999 in Sawtell, NSW, Kelly took a moment to name the stranger - for the benefit of younger fans born years after Whitlam'snotorious dismissal and electoral defeat in 1975. Alongside getting non-lndigenous Australians onside as far as the landrights issue is concerned, Kelly also uses the song to enact the kind of partnership suggested by Keating in text 9 above. This happens in the verbiage,in the song's last line, where he blends two readings of‘the law’-Indigenouscustomary law with imported European legal practices. Beyond this, the song of course is a multimodal text whose musical culmination partners westerninstrumentation with the Indigenous didgeridoo - when the music changes gearafter the final chorus, shifting from a lilting ballad into hard rock. The screaming didgeridoo is played by Ernie Dingo, a well known Indigenous mediapersonality (who is actually playing a piece of PVC pipe he picked up at ahardware store on his way to the recording - a further blending of Indigenous with non-indigenous artifact).Symbolising the power and resilience of Indigenous culture, the didgeridoo is the last voice we hear in the song (as the other instruments fade out).  Kelly is well known for his work producing Aboriginal musicians,including the Archie Roach recording noted above as well as Yothu Yindi's first hit, a‘disco’remix of‘Treaty’, among others.Like Father Glynn,he doesn't seema conventional subject for critical discourse analysis;but as far as positive discourse analysis is concerned, both his own and others' music powered narratives cry out for analysis. Drawing on both popular and Indigenousculture,Kelly designs multimodal texts that reach a mass audience-anaudience well beyond the reach of an everyday critical theorist.He enactsreconciliation,and from practices such as his there is lots to learn.  ……
