內(nèi)容概要

本書根據(jù)作者在美國近20年來英語語法的教與學(xué)所積累的實踐經(jīng)驗，并按照中國英語語法教與學(xué)的國情需求編寫而成。全書共由下列七大部分組成: 一、引言部分（語法規(guī)則）; 二、英語的淵源與發(fā)展及其影響; 三、掌握控制英語各類詞匯層面上的錯誤; 四、掌握控制英語句子結(jié)構(gòu)層面上的錯誤; 五、掌握控制英語不一致基礎(chǔ)方面的錯誤; 六、掌握控制英語各類標(biāo)點符號錯誤; 七，診斷性測試和綜合測試（內(nèi)容與上述六大部分相呼應(yīng)）。此外，每部分還配有相當(dāng)數(shù)量的練習(xí)供參閱與訓(xùn)練。
   本書自始至終用生動有趣的語言，以精簡明了的表述手法，全面系統(tǒng)地闡述了整個英語語法體系，可謂是當(dāng)今國內(nèi)眾多英語語法書中難得覓見的案頭必備之書。

作者簡介

趙巖博士畢業(yè)于中國河北大學(xué)英文系。80年代中期去美國普渡大學(xué)讀英語語言學(xué)，1987年獲英語語言學(xué)碩士學(xué)位。1994年獲英文博士學(xué)位。趙博士學(xué)位的第二主讀科目是18世紀(jì)英國文學(xué)，第三主讀科目是幽默語意和實用分析及研究。
自1990年起，趙博士一直在美國加州承擔(dān)大學(xué)類語及寫作等課程的教學(xué)，積累了豐富的實踐經(jīng)驗。目前已是美國加州艾爾卡米諾學(xué)院（EI College）終身教授。
在執(zhí)教的同肘，趙博士熱衷于編寫大學(xué)英語教材。除本書外，她還編著了： A College Reader and Rhetoric ;A Gude and Reader for Critical Thinking； Star Student Essop： A Motivating Reader;均由美國國會圖書館注冊。
趙巖博士現(xiàn)與她的丈夫趙和平博士及他們的兒子喬治（George）和女兒艾米（Amy）住在美國加州的花園城（Garde Grove）。
