商務(wù)漢英疑難雜詞辨析與翻譯

前言

　　病分疑難雜癥。英語(yǔ)口筆頭表達(dá)和漢英翻譯中所出現(xiàn)的錯(cuò)詞病句各種各樣，而導(dǎo)致錯(cuò)詞病句的主要原由就是弄不清疑難雜詞的意義。本書(shū)所要辨析的就是這些導(dǎo)致商務(wù)漢英翻譯中錯(cuò)詞病句的疑難雜詞。　　商務(wù)英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)中遇到的疑惑之處眾多，有令人疑惑的語(yǔ)言形式，也有令人不解的語(yǔ)義，還有令人迷惑的語(yǔ)音，等等。商務(wù)漢英翻譯中，疑者有三。一是那些商務(wù)漢英翻譯中對(duì)應(yīng)而不對(duì)等的詞語(yǔ)（即：假朋友），如：金磚＝goldbricks？總公司＝general company？二是那些似是而非和似非而是的詞語(yǔ)，如：開(kāi)電閘一open theswitch？珍貴＝invaluable？三是那些所指似異而實(shí)指相同的詞或短語(yǔ)，如：alpha stocks＝blue chips？financial standing＝credit status？　　其次，商務(wù)英語(yǔ)中的同義詞、近義詞或多義詞難于區(qū)別把握而選錯(cuò)用錯(cuò)的情況因基礎(chǔ)薄弱或因疏忽大意而時(shí)有發(fā)生。難點(diǎn)大致有四。難點(diǎn)之一就是同一個(gè)英語(yǔ)詞語(yǔ)有不同的用法，如：deal withsb（應(yīng)對(duì)某人／與某人做生意），white goods（白色家電／白色織物）。難點(diǎn)之二就是同一個(gè)漢語(yǔ)詞語(yǔ)有著不同所指的英語(yǔ)對(duì)應(yīng)詞語(yǔ)，如：翻番double≠quadruple、返銷(xiāo)be sold back to a grain producmg area≠buy back。難點(diǎn)之三則是難于把握的近義詞或易混淆的詞，如：pott of destination（目的港）≠port of discharge（卸貨港），private limited company（責(zé)任有限公司）≠public limited company（股份有限公司）。
