前言

　　隨著上海市二期課程教材改革的不斷深入發(fā)展，中學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的目標(biāo)不斷更新，以及社會(huì)的發(fā)展對(duì)學(xué)生攝取信息和交際能力的要求不斷提升，在上海市中小學(xué)課程教材改革委員會(huì)辦公室和上海市教育委員會(huì)教學(xué)研究室共同制訂的《面向21世紀(jì)上海市中小學(xué)外語(yǔ)學(xué)科教育改革綱領(lǐng)》中對(duì)中學(xué)生的“聽的能力”提出了特別的要求：“能基本聽懂用目標(biāo)語(yǔ)所講的言語(yǔ)和對(duì)話，能聽懂新聞廣播”。為此，上海市中等學(xué)校高中階段招生文化考試的英語(yǔ)試卷中，聽力部分比重有所調(diào)整，難度有所提高，題型有所變化。為使2005年參加中考的學(xué)生盡快適應(yīng)考試題型的變化和要求，我們精心編寫了此書《2005年最新題型——中考英語(yǔ)聽力模擬試題集》。本書共有20套中考英語(yǔ)聽力模擬試卷。這些聽力試卷都是根據(jù)2005年中考英語(yǔ)聽力要求編寫的，其題型、評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)也與2005年中考英語(yǔ)聽力的要求完全一致。本書還另配三盒聽力音帶。錄音材料由專錄中考英語(yǔ)聽力的專家張晴，Dav朗讀。希望學(xué)生經(jīng)過本書訓(xùn)練后，能熟悉2005年中考英語(yǔ)聽力的題型和要求，在考試中取得良好成績(jī)。

　　IV. Listen to the passage and tell whether the following statements are true or false:　　What time is it？ There are many ways you can find out the time. You may have a watch. You can look at a clock on the wall. You can listen to the radio or call a number on the telephone to get the time.　　It has not always been easy to know the time. A long time ago people looked at the sun to tell the time. They could tell the time of day by looking at the sun in the sky: morning, noon or afternoon.　　Around the year 1400, people began to use the hourglass. It was made of glass with some sand in it. It was wide at both ends, but narrow in the middle. Then sand ran from one end to the other in one hour. At the end of every hour people turned the glass over and began again.　　Hundreds of years later a machine called clock was invented. After that people made small clocks so that they could carry them in their pockets. Very small clocks were called watches. Then, during World War I men started wearing their watches. It was easier and faster to tell the time. Now almost everyone wears a watch.
