內(nèi)容概要

　　全書分為兩大部分。第一部分題為“客觀語言測(cè)試的歷史”，論述了測(cè)試的驅(qū)動(dòng)力，回顧了1913年-1935年間出現(xiàn)的新型語言測(cè)試，心理測(cè)量學(xué)的傳播及主導(dǎo)地位的取得，30年代語言測(cè)試技術(shù)的新發(fā)展，二戰(zhàn)期間服務(wù)于國家利益的語言測(cè)試之誕生，語言測(cè)試的專業(yè)化和1954-1956年間語言測(cè)試日趨成熟的過程。作者通過回顧語言測(cè)試發(fā)展的歷史，提示了測(cè)試走向客觀的必然趨勢(shì)。第二部分題為“TOE-FL考試以及美國英語測(cè)試的興起”。這部分中作者回顧了TOEFL考試的醞釀、誕生及發(fā)展，論述了公共測(cè)試和學(xué)院測(cè)試的興起，并分析了機(jī)構(gòu)、政治和經(jīng)濟(jì)等因素對(duì)測(cè)試?yán)碚摰挠绊憽?/pre>
