　　This book is new translation of a classic work of a classic work of mordern social and political　　thought.Elements of the Philosophy of Righ,Hegel`s last major published work,is an attempt to systematize ethical theory,natural right ,the philosophy of law,political theory,and the sociology of the modern state into the framework of different ways,influencing many plitical movements from far right to far left,and is widely perceived as central to the communtarian　　tradition in modern ethical,social and political thought.　　This edition includes extensive deitorial material informing the reader of the historical background of Hegels text, and explaining his allusions to Roman law and other sources, making use of lecture materials which have only recently become available. The new translation is literal, readable and conisitent,a nd will be informative and scholarly enough to serve the needs of students and specialists alike.

作者簡介

威廉·弗里德里希·黑格爾出生于一個(gè)政府公務(wù)員家庭。1788年進(jìn)入圖賓根神學(xué)院學(xué)習(xí)。1793年畢業(yè)后，先后在伯爾尼和法蘭克福當(dāng)了七年的家庭教師。1800年到耶拿，與謝林共同創(chuàng)辦《哲學(xué)評(píng)論》雜志。次年成為耶拿大學(xué)編外講師，四年之后成為副教授。1807年出版他的第一部著作《精神現(xiàn)象學(xué)》。1808至1816年，他在紐倫堡當(dāng)了八年的中學(xué)校長。在此期間完成了《邏輯學(xué)》（簡稱大邏輯）。1816年，他被聘為海德堡大學(xué)教授。1817年，出版《哲學(xué)全書》（其中的邏輯學(xué)部分簡稱小邏輯），完成了他的哲學(xué)體系。1818年開始擔(dān)任柏林大學(xué)教授，1821年出版《法哲學(xué)原理》。1829年，黑格爾被任命為柏林大學(xué)校長和政府代表，1831年死于霍亂。他在柏林大學(xué)的講稿死后被整理為《哲學(xué)史講演錄》、《美學(xué)講演錄》和《宗教哲學(xué)講演錄》。
