本書分兩大部分，先後評(píng)述了1842年以前及以後的香港典型建築與重要建築流派。除介紹建築的風(fēng)格和特徵外，還藉此追尋香港在社會(huì)、政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、文化、科技等方面的歷史發(fā)展軌跡。

Registered Architect, Professor of Architecture, UNESCO Chair in Cultural Heritage Resources Management and Dean of Architecture, David Lung is internationally recognized for his scholarship and work in the field of heritage conservation and World Heritage properties.  He is instrumental in bringing to fruition three World Heritage Inscriptions: Historic City of Macao, Kaiping Diaolou and Villages, and the Historic Cities in the Straits of Malacca.
