《中國學習者習得英語非賓格動詞的新實證研究》在研究對象上,選用了四組不同水平的中國學習者做橫向比較。在研究內(nèi)容上,不僅考察多種和非賓格動詞有關(guān)的中介語錯誤,還把非作格動詞納入研究范圍。在研究方法上,綜合使用了控制性書面產(chǎn)出任務(wù)、可接受性判斷任務(wù)、后續(xù)訪談、英語教材語料庫檢索等多種研究工具,不僅分析了動詞的小組結(jié)果,還分析了動詞的個體結(jié)果。獲得了三大發(fā)現(xiàn)。第一,中國英語學習者從很低水平開始就可以區(qū)分英語非賓格動詞和非作格動詞。第二,他們對可轉(zhuǎn)換和不可轉(zhuǎn)換的非賓格動詞之間的區(qū)別是逐步掌握的,學習過程中往往會犯一些混淆它們之間區(qū)別的錯誤。第三,在他們習得英語非賓格動詞的過程中,存在詞與詞之間的差異,有的動詞學生學得快,有的學得慢。他的這些發(fā)現(xiàn)支持了“非賓格層級假設(shè)”和部分支持了基于規(guī)則的可轉(zhuǎn)換非賓格動詞的習得理論,但不支持“非賓格陷阱假設(shè)”。除此之外,這些發(fā)現(xiàn)還表明漢語在中國學習者習得英語非賓格動詞的過程中發(fā)生部分遷移,同時,二語輸入的頻次在該類動詞習得過程中也發(fā)揮了重要作用。
