前言

　　大學(xué)英語的教學(xué)目標(biāo)是培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的英語綜合應(yīng)用能力，特別是聽、說能力，使他們在今后的工作和社會交往中能用英語有效地進(jìn)行口頭和書面的信息交流。作為英語學(xué)習(xí)的重要技能之一，聽力在英語學(xué)習(xí)中占有十分重要的地位。目前國內(nèi)流行的各種英語考試都加大了聽力的比重，由此可見提高聽力能力的重要性。從歷屆高等學(xué)校英語應(yīng)用能力考試（A級）及大學(xué)英語四級考試的聽力成績來看，大學(xué)生的聽力水平普遍較低，而他們也迫切希望提高聽力水平。為滿足廣大學(xué)生的愿望和要求，我們特地編寫了這本《大學(xué)英語聽力訓(xùn)練》，它既可作為教材供學(xué)生課堂使用，也可作為聽力強(qiáng)化材料供學(xué)生課后自學(xué)使用?！　”緯歉鶕?jù)教育部最新頒發(fā)的《高職高專教育英語課程教學(xué)基本要求》和《大學(xué)英語四級考試大綱》，結(jié)合高職高專學(xué)生的特點(diǎn)以及教學(xué)對象的英語水平編寫而成的。本書最大的特色是聽力理論部分圍繞題型分析、技巧點(diǎn)撥、考點(diǎn)直擊三個(gè)方面展開。學(xué)生可以通過對三個(gè)步驟的理解及掌握，對每個(gè)考點(diǎn)了如指掌，大大提高答題的準(zhǔn)確率。

　　Conversation 2　　M. Are you feeling OK， Jane？ You look pretty tired.　　W. My sister and I went to a birthday party for my brother last night. I didnt get much sleep.　　M. Where did you have the party？　　W： At my aunts house. Then， right after the party， I had to start typing a history paper. It had to be handed in in the morning. I was quite nervous because the professor said he wouldnt accept any late papers.　　M. I dont know how you did it. I cant handle a pressure situation like that.　　W： Well， I just turned the paper in， and Im going home to bed. See you later.　　Questions：　　8. Whose birthday was it？　　9. What does Jane want to do？　　Section C　　When a plane from London arrived at Sydney airport， workers began to unload a number of wooden boxes which contained clothing. No one could account for the fact that one of the boxes was extremely heavy. It suddenly occurred to one of the workers to open up the box. He was astonished at what he found. A man was lying in the box on top of a pile of woolen goods. The man was so surprised at being discovered that he did not even try to run away. After he was arrested， the man admitted hiding in the box before the plane left London. He had had a long and uncomfortable trip， for he had been confined to the wooden box for over ten hours. The man was ordered to pay 345 pounds for the cost of the trip. The normal price of a ticket is 230 pounds！
