內(nèi)容概要

本書由三個(gè)部分組成：一是作者1993年在外教社出版的Language, Culture and Translating 一書的修訂版；二是根據(jù)作者1999年在我國10余所著名外語院校巡回講學(xué)的講稿整理而成的Contexts in Translating；三是作者近幾年同我國記者、專家和朋友的部分談話或通信。在這部新著中，奈達(dá)博士從不同側(cè)面分析了語言與文化的密切聯(lián)系，并進(jìn)而從語境角度論述怎樣處理翻譯中的種種關(guān)系和問題。此外，他還在科學(xué)與藝術(shù)、理論與實(shí)踐以及改革翻譯教學(xué)等問題上闡述了自己的觀點(diǎn)。

作者簡介

尤金·奈達(dá)(1914—)：美國語言學(xué)家、翻譯家和翻譯理論家。1943 年獲語言學(xué)博士學(xué)位，然后長期在美國圣經(jīng) 學(xué)會(huì)主持翻譯部的工作。先后訪問過90個(gè) 國家和地區(qū)，并著書立說，單獨(dú)或合作出版 了40多部書，發(fā)表論文250余篇，是世界譯 壇的一位長青學(xué)者。
