本書是一部有代表性的西方翻譯理論專著。作者活爾弗拉姆·威爾斯教授是德語翻譯理論界的一位重要人物。《翻譯學(xué)：?jiǎn)栴}與方法》是他多年翻譯教學(xué)與研究的結(jié)晶。該書最初用德語寫成，于1977年問世；作者后來作了修訂和增補(bǔ)，并與他人合作譯成了英語，1982年由聯(lián)幫德國(guó)Gunter Narr出版社出版。全書包括“緒論”在內(nèi)共12章：翻譯作為現(xiàn)代交際的工具、翻譯理論的歷史與現(xiàn)狀、翻譯學(xué)的方法論問題、翻譯過程與翻譯程序、篇章語言學(xué)與翻譯、翻譯的等值問題、翻譯的難點(diǎn)、翻譯教學(xué)、英德翻譯錯(cuò)誤分析、翻譯批評(píng)以及機(jī)器翻譯等。

作者簡(jiǎn)介

沃爾弗拉姆·威爾斯（1925- ）：前聯(lián)邦德國(guó)薩爾州大學(xué)（University of the Saarland）教授，專門從事語言學(xué)和翻譯教學(xué)。近20年來，發(fā)表過30余篇翻譯論文，編輯出版多部論文集，并有理論專著一部，是德語翻譯理論界一位重要人物。
