內(nèi)容概要

《美國(guó)文學(xué)》(修訂版)是以2000年出版的《美國(guó)文學(xué)》為基礎(chǔ)，根據(jù)作者這些年在美國(guó)文學(xué)教學(xué)中的實(shí)踐經(jīng)驗(yàn)和同行專(zhuān)家的一些建議，就美國(guó)文學(xué)的當(dāng)代部分補(bǔ)充了大量的新內(nèi)容，以適應(yīng)學(xué)生的需要。    本書(shū)分五部分：殖民地時(shí)期、美國(guó)革命時(shí)期、浪漫主義時(shí)期、現(xiàn)實(shí)主義時(shí)期及現(xiàn)代主義時(shí)期。19世紀(jì)以前的美國(guó)文學(xué)只是一些信息的報(bào)道和宗教的或政治的宣傳，算不上真正意義上的文學(xué)，19世紀(jì)和20世紀(jì)才是美國(guó)文學(xué)作為獨(dú)立的民族文學(xué)形成和發(fā)展的鼎盛階段。所以，本書(shū)簡(jiǎn)略介紹了前兩個(gè)時(shí)期的文學(xué)，用較大篇幅論述了后三個(gè)時(shí)期的文學(xué)。每個(gè)時(shí)期分為歷史背景、文學(xué)和流派特點(diǎn)、作者簡(jiǎn)介及重要作品的文體風(fēng)格和主題思想、重點(diǎn)選文等若干章節(jié)，選文后附有注釋和思考題。
