內(nèi)容概要

　　《美國通俗小說菁華（18-19世紀(jì)卷）》是國內(nèi)第一部相關(guān)英文著作，旨在為我國大專院校英語專業(yè)、相關(guān)專業(yè)的學(xué)生以及社會上廣大英語文學(xué)愛好者提供一座學(xué)習(xí)、欣賞美國通俗文學(xué)的橋梁，幫助他們真正了解美國通俗文學(xué)發(fā)展的全貌，與此同時，在輕松、愉悅的閱讀過程中，熟悉、掌握美國各個歷史時期最貼近社會生活的語言，從而快速提高自身的英語運用能力。本書匯集了該時期膾炙人口的美國通俗小說精華30篇，涉及到引誘言情小說、哥特式小說、歷史浪漫小說、古典式偵探小說、西部冒險小說、女性言情小說、城市暴露小說、廉價西部小說、宗教小說、蜜糖言情小說、新歷史浪漫小說、超自然恐怖小說等12個主要類型和30位重要作家。在編寫體例上，突出實用性和系統(tǒng)性，每一所選章節(jié)之前均撰有類型介紹和作家介紹，正文則依據(jù)難易程度，加有數(shù)量不等的注釋，以幫助理解。書末附有參考書目，供進一步學(xué)習(xí)、研究之用。

作者簡介

黃祿善，上海大學(xué)外國語學(xué)院英語系教授，外國通俗文學(xué)研究中心主任。上海作家協(xié)會會員，上海翻譯家協(xié)會會員。著有《美國通俗小說史》、《英美通俗小說概述》兩部專著，譯有《美國的悲劇》、《合伙人》、《鴿房女尸案》、《綠色貝雷帽》、《墓掘》、《荒島劍鳴》等10部長篇小說，其中《墓掘》獲《譯林》優(yōu)秀長篇小說二等獎，《荒島劍鳴》獲江西省譯協(xié)首屆優(yōu)秀翻譯三等獎，《綠色貝雷帽》獲《譯林》優(yōu)秀長篇小說三等獎。另主編有《世界文學(xué)名著典藏》、《西方靈異小說》《西方高科技驚險小說》、《欲望人》等號套外國文學(xué)叢書。
