　　Many dramatic elements have also been identified: some vestiges of Milton's early sketches for a drama entitled Adnm Unparadrz'd; some structural affiruties to contemporary epics in five 'acts'， such as Davanant's Gondibert; and tragic protagonists who fall from happiness to miser）r　　through hamartia （Barker; Rollin; Siduck）. Others include the tragic soliloquies of Satan and Adam， recalling those of Dr Faustus and Macbeth;the morality-play 'Parliament of Heaven' sequence in the debate of God and the Son （3.80-343）; the scene of domestic farce in which Satan first　　vehemently repudiates and then fawns upon his reprehensible offspring， Sin and Death （z.643-883）; the scenes of domestic tragedy in Books g and in wluch present Adam and Eve's quarrel， Fall， mutual recrinunations， and（later） reconciliation; and the tragic masques or pageants of Books Ⅱand 12， portraying the sins and Miseries of human history （Demaray; Gardner; Grossman; Hunter， 7z-95; Krarudas; Samuel）.　　　……
