《大學(xué)英語閱讀教程》是為配合大學(xué)英語教學(xué)而編選的一套英語讀物，共四冊。    本書按題材分成10個(gè)單元，選文大多取自近年出版的英美報(bào)刊書籍，語言清新，體裁多樣，有故事、隨筆、雜感、短評、新聞報(bào)道等。在編選過程中，為確保原作的“真實(shí)性”，不隨意改動(dòng)原文，不作任何文字上的“加工”。    本書的每篇選文，都配有適量的閱讀和翻譯練習(xí)?！袄斫鈾z測”，旨在提高學(xué)生語篇水平上的閱讀理解能力，確保學(xué)生對整篇文章從主題思想到重要細(xì)節(jié)以至語言難點(diǎn)的全面理解。    “佳句試譯”這一練習(xí)的設(shè)置，不僅著眼于為讀者提供翻譯實(shí)踐的機(jī)會(huì)，因?yàn)樗x的語句，大多是文章的精髓，也是難點(diǎn)所在，讀者反復(fù)琢磨、玩味之余，自然會(huì)對文章有更深入的理解。    閱讀應(yīng)該是一種享受，而不該視為一種負(fù)擔(dān)。享受閱讀，尋求書中的逸趣，是學(xué)術(shù)求知的最高境界。愿本套叢書能成為當(dāng)今大學(xué)生們的學(xué)習(xí)生活之友。
