合中等以上水平的讀者，并可做聽力課教材。
此書對國外的TOEFL、IELTS考試及國內(nèi)的PETS（PublicEnglishTestSystem）考試，即全國公共英
語等級(jí)考試，都極有幫助。PETS即原全國外語水平考試WSK?英語水平考試EPT。
本書的練習(xí)有多項(xiàng)選擇（MultipleChoice）、正誤判斷TrueorFa1se）以及簡短回答問題等形式，
而這些練習(xí)形式正是PETS、IELTS及TOEFL聽力考試的試題形式。對于PETS考試來說，此書適合于3―5
級(jí)的考生。
本書作者是北京語言文化大學(xué)（原北京語言學(xué)院）出國人員外語培訓(xùn)部英語教研究室的老師，多年從
事英語聽力教學(xué)，經(jīng)驗(yàn)豐富，熟悉PETS、TOEFL及IELTS等考試。
