　　伊麗莎白·芭蕾特·勃朗寧夫人是英國(guó)19世紀(jì)著名女詩(shī)人，她于1806年3月6日誕生于富裕的資產(chǎn)階級(jí)家庭，從小熱愛(ài)詩(shī)歌，八歲開(kāi)始寫(xiě)詩(shī)，十三歲出版四卷史詩(shī)——詠嘆古希臘的馬拉松戰(zhàn)役，十五歲因騎馬墜落，跌斷脊椎和腿骨癱瘓?jiān)诖?；其間遭遇慈母病亡，由其弟愛(ài)德華陪同她在鄉(xiāng)間養(yǎng)病，其弟又不幸溺死在窗前她目睹的河水中。
　　詩(shī)人忍受著常人難以忍受的悲痛，在疾病中堅(jiān)強(qiáng)地活下來(lái)，把自己的情感全部注入詩(shī)中，先后出版了《被縛的普羅米修斯》英譯本（1833年）和詩(shī)集《天使們》（1838年）《孩子們的呼聲》（1843年）《詩(shī)集——1844》（1844年）等。這些詩(shī)集的出版，得到藝術(shù)界的公認(rèn)，讀者的歡迎，好評(píng)如潮；她成為英國(guó)最優(yōu)秀的詩(shī)人。
　　她的詩(shī)，也引起了青年詩(shī)人羅伯特·勃朗寧的關(guān)注，從此，他們開(kāi)始了長(zhǎng)達(dá)一年零八個(gè)月的通信。愛(ài)情終于戰(zhàn)勝了世俗，也戰(zhàn)勝了疾病，勃朗寧夫人奇跡般地重新站立起來(lái)。他們先是住在意大利的比薩，后定居風(fēng)景優(yōu)美的佛羅倫薩。
　　1861年6月29日，女詩(shī)人躺在勃朗寧先生的懷里，安詳?shù)拈]上了她靈慧的雙眼，幸福地結(jié)束了他們碩果累累的十五年。

作者簡(jiǎn)介
