新托福考試閱讀特訓(xùn)

前言

　　眾所周知，隨著時(shí)代的快速發(fā)展，托福也采取了新的考試形式。但是，在美國教授托福多年，我一直有這樣一個(gè)疑問：托福這種考試是否可以測試出一個(gè)考生的真實(shí)英語實(shí)力？拿到了滿意的托福分?jǐn)?shù)，是否可以真的在美國大學(xué)里自如地學(xué)習(xí)？答案是否定的。即使拿到了美國大學(xué)所要求的托福分?jǐn)?shù)，但入學(xué)以后，有些學(xué)生由于聽力水平低下，跟不上課程，不能順利完成上課時(shí)要求的報(bào)告，因而得到非常差的分?jǐn)?shù)；有些學(xué)生由于對(duì)自己的英語沒有自信，不能在以討論為主的美國教育方式中大膽開口說話，只好保持沉默。同時(shí)，他們?cè)诂F(xiàn)實(shí)生活中也遇到了這樣那樣的問題。也許ETS最為憂慮的便是，有些學(xué)生即便得到了學(xué)校要求的托福分?jǐn)?shù)，得以進(jìn)入學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)，但實(shí)際上他們卻在很多方面未達(dá)到入學(xué)要求。應(yīng)該如何避免這些情形的發(fā)生呢？ETS苦思冥想以后，提出的解決方案便是：加強(qiáng)寫作能力測試，取消語法考試，增加口語考試。
