內(nèi)容概要

　　本書堅持馬克思主義的辯證唯物主義和歷史唯物主義原則，盡量客觀、如實地反映英語國家的地理、歷史、經(jīng)濟(jì)和政治概貌，盡量避免個人對這些國家的誤讀與偏見。全書共30章，每章都有英語課文，書后附有漢語參考譯文，旨在幫助理解，提供翻譯示例。文后有思考和練習(xí)題，便于學(xué)生課后反復(fù)練習(xí)，重點記憶，使其在學(xué)到文化知識的同時，提高中英文兩種語言的閱讀、互譯和表達(dá)水平。本書盡量做到精選、新穎、簡明、條理、易懂，以減輕學(xué)習(xí)者的壓力。為了提高學(xué)習(xí)興趣，還附有地圖、插圖，以提高知識的直觀性和趣味性。附錄中有各章練習(xí)客觀題的答案，以便查閱與核對。
