內(nèi)容概要

本書(shū)是為高等院校土木工程專(zhuān)也類(lèi)學(xué)生選編的專(zhuān)業(yè)英語(yǔ)教材。    全書(shū)以土木工程為主線(xiàn)，系統(tǒng)地介紹了土木工程及其所包括的有關(guān)分支學(xué)科的基本內(nèi)容和歷史概況·如建筑、橋梁、道路、交通、水壩、巖土、材料、經(jīng)濟(jì)與管理以及計(jì)算機(jī)的應(yīng)用等。共編排二十二篇課文作為課堂教學(xué)用。    每篇課文后附兩篇內(nèi)容緊密相關(guān)的閱讀材料，注重介紹世界土木工程界的名人、趣事、重大工程，供教師指導(dǎo)學(xué)生閱讀，或者根據(jù)實(shí)際教學(xué)學(xué)時(shí)選作機(jī)動(dòng)教材。    本書(shū)也可作為從事土木工程的專(zhuān)業(yè)人員了解專(zhuān)業(yè)知識(shí)、提高英語(yǔ)水平的輔助閱讀材料。

作者簡(jiǎn)介

段兵廷，男，華中科技大學(xué)土木工程與力學(xué)學(xué)院副教授。1981年9月至1988年3月就讀于同濟(jì)大學(xué)地下建筑與工程系·獲工學(xué)學(xué)士、碩士學(xué)位；2000年8月至2001年8月受?chē)?guó)家留學(xué)基金管理委員會(huì)資助赴美國(guó)(Purdue University，Louisiana Tech University)作訪(fǎng)問(wèn)學(xué)者。主講課程：“地下工程”、“鋼筋混凝土結(jié)構(gòu)”、“專(zhuān)業(yè)英語(yǔ)”等；主要研究方向：深基坑開(kāi)挖及支護(hù)技術(shù)、城市地鐵和隧道規(guī)劃與施工技術(shù)、非開(kāi)挖鋪設(shè)和修復(fù)地下管道技術(shù)、預(yù)應(yīng)力鋼筋混凝土結(jié)構(gòu)施工工藝等。
