前言

  2007年教育部高教司頒布了《大學(xué)英語(yǔ)課程教學(xué)要求》(以下簡(jiǎn)稱(chēng)《教學(xué)要求》)?!督虒W(xué)要求》重新定位了大學(xué)英語(yǔ)課程的教學(xué)目標(biāo),“大學(xué)英語(yǔ)的教學(xué)目標(biāo)是培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)綜合應(yīng)用能力,特別是聽(tīng)說(shuō)能力”。聽(tīng)說(shuō)能力是對(duì)學(xué)生語(yǔ)言能力進(jìn)行評(píng)價(jià)的一項(xiàng)重要指標(biāo),社會(huì)需求也對(duì)大學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)能力提出了更高的要求,因此教育部啟動(dòng)了基于計(jì)算機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)的大學(xué)英語(yǔ)自主教學(xué)模式改革。大學(xué)英語(yǔ)四級(jí)網(wǎng)考于2008年12月開(kāi)始試點(diǎn)。網(wǎng)考模式加大了聽(tīng)寫(xiě)、視頻等方面的分值比例,而占比重較大的視頻題在聽(tīng)、讀、寫(xiě)中都要涉及到,因此,能真實(shí)反映出學(xué)生的水平?! 〈髮W(xué)英語(yǔ)四級(jí)網(wǎng)考的反撥作用要求大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)采用現(xiàn)代信息技術(shù),推動(dòng)以多媒體和網(wǎng)絡(luò)技術(shù)為支撐的英語(yǔ)多媒體教學(xué)模式的改革,使英語(yǔ)教學(xué)不受時(shí)間和地點(diǎn)的限制,向個(gè)性化和自主式的學(xué)習(xí)方向發(fā)展,體現(xiàn)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的實(shí)用性、知識(shí)性和趣味性原則,最終達(dá)到“培養(yǎng)學(xué)生綜合應(yīng)用能力,全面提高學(xué)生的文化素質(zhì)”的教學(xué)目標(biāo)?!  洞髮W(xué)英語(yǔ)網(wǎng)考視聽(tīng)新體驗(yàn)》(1—4冊(cè))是以《大學(xué)英語(yǔ)課程教學(xué)要求》為依據(jù),以“應(yīng)用性、實(shí)用性和真實(shí)性”為指導(dǎo)思想,結(jié)合目前大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)中對(duì)視聽(tīng)課比重加大的實(shí)際情況和師生對(duì)網(wǎng)考練習(xí)材料的需求而編寫(xiě)的,供大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)基礎(chǔ)階段使用。該套教材具有以下特色:  1.突出網(wǎng)考模式的特點(diǎn)。教材無(wú)論從選材、難易度還是內(nèi)容體系上,都以大學(xué)英語(yǔ)四級(jí)網(wǎng)考題型為藍(lán)本,認(rèn)真篩選、精心設(shè)計(jì),力求讓學(xué)生在課堂上熟悉、了解網(wǎng)考模式,掌握網(wǎng)考應(yīng)試技巧,體驗(yàn)網(wǎng)考帶來(lái)的挑戰(zhàn)和樂(lè)趣?! ?.課堂教學(xué)和自主學(xué)習(xí)相結(jié)合。教材既注重課堂教學(xué),又注重學(xué)生課外自主學(xué)習(xí)。教材的編寫(xiě)形式和設(shè)計(jì)的任務(wù)便于教師課堂操作,每個(gè)單元的材料除了足夠教師課堂使用以外,還可供學(xué)生課外操練?! ?.選材注重思想性、現(xiàn)代性和真實(shí)性。所選音頻和視頻材料貼近學(xué)生的生活和思想,內(nèi)容健康、積極向上,而且音、視頻材料均為近期出現(xiàn)在。BBC、VOA、CNN和CCTV_9中的新聞報(bào)道和訪談等節(jié)目,具有很強(qiáng)的時(shí)代感,語(yǔ)言地道、規(guī)范。  4.主題內(nèi)容的安排由近及遠(yuǎn)、由淺入深。第一冊(cè)和第二冊(cè)的主題涉及學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)、生活的方方面面,如娛樂(lè)休閑、網(wǎng)上學(xué)習(xí)、友情、健康等話題。第三冊(cè)和第四冊(cè)的主題涉及當(dāng)前社會(huì)和世界所關(guān)注的熱點(diǎn)問(wèn)題,如計(jì)算機(jī)安全、環(huán)境保護(hù)、災(zāi)難、商業(yè)道德、全球化等話題。每?jī)?cè)的語(yǔ)速、難易度和長(zhǎng)度基本上呈階梯狀上升?! ?.圖文并茂,版式新穎。《大學(xué)英語(yǔ)網(wǎng)考視聽(tīng)新體驗(yàn)》系列教材配有大量與主題相關(guān)的啟發(fā)性強(qiáng)的圖片,為語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)提供了形象的訓(xùn)練情景,加強(qiáng)了學(xué)生對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)和使用語(yǔ)言的實(shí)際體驗(yàn)。

  Here is a warning for college students:you are a prime target for identity thieves.So before you go back to school, there are some things you and your parents need toknow. Financial author and radio host Dave Ramsey is here to explain. Good morning,Dave. (Good morning. )  I wanna begin by reading a letter that you got from one of your listeners, cause itreally illustrates the problem.  This listener wrote. My third day at college, I applied for several credit cards oncampus, five years later I found out that all of my personal information was posted on awebsite. I had cars bought in my name, and credit accounts across the country. Acollege student who ran one of the credit card booths was responsible for posting myinformation. Even though I now have a new social security number, I constantly have tomonitor my credit reports. I have had to explain all this to employers that run abackground check on me. Those free T-shirts almost wound up costing me 150,000dollars. How likely is it that a college student will have their ID stolen?  More likely than any other age group, sadly thats the No. 1 age group for identitytheft. And identity theft as we all know is like a big deal on America right now. But this18——29 age group the Federal Trade Commission says is the No. 1 area, and of thatgroup, the college ages, wow ,the biggest group.  There are three main reasons you say. The first one being that college age studentsare naive. We are so trusting. Sign up for five credit cards makes me look like an adult.Never thinking about that, all this information is just being scarfed and something isgoing to happen to it. You have to be a little bit cynical to avoid identity theft.  The second reason you say is because college age students get all those free offersin the mail for credit cards.  Well, they do, and they are dangerous, not only like that particular letter a lot ofwriters found, but also there up to 50 percent of them are getting one to six offers aweek. And so youve got to dispose of these things properly. They just lay around in apot with your jurik mail. Someone comes along picks that thing up, fills it out for you,using your name but someone elses address. And the third reason is you say thattypically students dont examine their financial records.  Yeah, here is an idea, balance your checkbook. And here is an idea, pu  l yourcredit bureau report. These arent things I thought of when I was in college, but nowyou have to.
