會(huì)展英語

前言

　　近年來，隨著我國會(huì)展業(yè)的快速發(fā)展，開設(shè)了會(huì)展專業(yè)的大專院校也日益增多。作為一個(gè)國際交流與合作十分頻繁的行業(yè)，會(huì)展業(yè)要求從業(yè)人員必須具備一定的英語水平，尤其是使用專業(yè)英語開展業(yè)務(wù)溝通的能力。為此，重慶大學(xué)出版社組織我們編寫了這本《會(huì)展英語》，以彌補(bǔ)目前國內(nèi)會(huì)展專業(yè)教材相對(duì)匱乏的不足?！　”窘滩脑趦?nèi)容、體例以及文章的難易程度上較之于已經(jīng)出版的同類教材有一些不同之處。內(nèi)容實(shí)用。作為一本面向高職院校會(huì)展專業(yè)的教材，《會(huì)展英語》充分考慮了內(nèi)容的實(shí)用性與知識(shí)性，克服了某些專業(yè)英語教材只注重語言知識(shí)而忽視內(nèi)容的專業(yè)性等缺點(diǎn)。因此，本教材的內(nèi)容基本涉及了會(huì)展服務(wù)的各個(gè)業(yè)務(wù)流程。學(xué)生學(xué)完本教材，不僅可以掌握必要的會(huì)展專業(yè)英語知識(shí)，重要的是可以學(xué)到會(huì)展專業(yè)的相關(guān)技能，達(dá)到既提高英語水平又鞏固和拓展會(huì)展專業(yè)知識(shí)的目的。

內(nèi)容概要

本書的內(nèi)容涉及了會(huì)展服務(wù)的各個(gè)業(yè)務(wù)流程，按照會(huì)展業(yè)務(wù)的基本內(nèi)容分為15個(gè)單元，每個(gè)單元?jiǎng)t分為：Industry Basics（會(huì)展業(yè)務(wù)基礎(chǔ)）、Business Skills（業(yè)務(wù)技能）、Key Terms（關(guān)鍵詞語）、Notes（注釋）、Exercises（練習(xí)）5個(gè)部分。在相關(guān)單元還配備了圖片，每個(gè)部分的內(nèi)容清晰明了，知識(shí)重點(diǎn)及難點(diǎn)通過老師的講解便可以得到解決。    本教材所選取的材料全部涉及會(huì)展實(shí)務(wù)，語言地道、簡潔，難易適度、通俗易懂，既適合高職高專會(huì)展策劃與管理專業(yè)和旅游管理類專業(yè)使用，也適合會(huì)展行業(yè)英語愛好者自學(xué)。

　　"To join, be united, encounter, come face to face, come together, come into contact or connection with" is one definition of the term meeting. The term is sufficiently generic to cover any type of gathering. Yet there are many kinds of meetings, and different names are given to them depending on such factors as their size and objectives. Some common types are listed below. Trade shows, exhibitions, and minitrade shows are additional types of meetings.　　Keep in mind that one can call a meeting by any name desired. The name of a meeting is up to the meeting organizers.　　Convention　　This term usually is used to describe meetings that are national in scope. In many cases, convention goers are chosen to attend as representatives of their local organizational chapters. Most conventions are. quite large. The Democratic and Republican party conventions are prime examples, although a statewide meeting of public health nurses can also be called a convention.
