本書作者根據(jù)歷年雅思閱讀考題,對出題的范圍進行了總結(jié),把涉及的題材大體分為十二大類別:(1)自然現(xiàn)象,(2)人類歷史上的重大事件,(3)交通運輸,(4)語言,(5)環(huán)境保護,(6)動物,(7)建筑,(8)社會問題,(9)醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生,(10)農(nóng)、工、商,(11)教育,(12)科學(xué)技術(shù)。本書的閱讀訓(xùn)練部分就是按照這十二個專題分單元編寫的,每個單元包括五篇由短到長的文章,每個單元的練習(xí)都覆蓋各種常見題型。這樣的編寫讓考生對每個專題都能得到充分的閱讀訓(xùn)練,從而熟悉這一專題可能涉及的詞匯、表達方式和出題方式。這樣,在真正的考試中,就不會因為對題材感到生疏而影響閱讀速度。 為了方便考生掌握相關(guān)詞匯,本書在每一篇文章后都附了選篇所涉及的詞匯,相應(yīng)的詞匯在選篇中也用斜體標(biāo)出,便于考生直接查閱。因為每個專題涉及的詞匯并非五篇文章所能涵蓋,所以本書還特別編寫了專題分類詞匯學(xué)習(xí)手冊,把與每個專題密切相關(guān)的詞匯以英漢對照的方式列出,做成口袋書隨書附贈,便于考生隨身攜帶,隨時隨地查閱、記憶。
作者簡介
王春梅,畢業(yè)于北京大學(xué)外語學(xué)院英語專業(yè),獲文學(xué)碩士學(xué)位。任教于北京語言大學(xué)出國留學(xué)人員培訓(xùn)部,自1998年至今一直從事雅思閱讀培訓(xùn)教學(xué)。曾以訪問學(xué)者身份赴大不列顛哥倫比亞大學(xué)教育系進修英語語言教學(xué)法,并赴聯(lián)合國駐巴黎教科文組織從事翻譯工作。與他人合作編著出版了《IELTS閱瀆模擬試題集(GcneralTraining)》?! ±顣岳?,清華大學(xué)外語系文學(xué)碩士,任教于北京語言大學(xué)出國留學(xué)人員培訓(xùn)部,多年從事雅思培訓(xùn)的教學(xué)工作。2005年9月至2006年7月作為訪問學(xué)者在英國南安普頓大學(xué)教育學(xué)院學(xué)習(xí)。編著出版了《英語交際口語》、《國家公派留學(xué)人員英語統(tǒng)考教材——寫作》。
