兒童趣味中文

前言

　　Easy Chinese for Kids（《兒童趣味中文》）　是為英語為母語的外國(guó)小學(xué)生編寫的一套教材。編寫時(shí)參考了美國(guó)幾個(gè)州的LOTE（Languages Other than English）　Standards（外語教學(xué)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)）。美國(guó)各州都設(shè)立了自己的LOTE Standards，成為各州中小學(xué)外語教學(xué)法和教材編寫的指南。這些LOTE Staridards把“聽說”（Listening&Speaking）　和“讀寫”（Reading&writing）的要求分開來；把“有效交流（Effective Commurtication）”作為基本學(xué)習(xí)目的；強(qiáng)調(diào)學(xué)生所學(xué)到的“聽說”和“讀寫”的技巧都要以用于社會(huì)生活中的實(shí)際交流為目的；教法和教材能為學(xué)生提供信息，并使學(xué)生能夠吸收信息、表達(dá)個(gè)人感受和想法，并能在生活中實(shí)地應(yīng)用?！　　秲和の吨形摹芬罁?jù)這些LOTE Stands中的原則，　注重以交流為目的，注重學(xué)的中文能在生活中實(shí)地應(yīng)用。另外編寫時(shí)也特別注重孩子們的學(xué)習(xí)特點(diǎn)。考慮到教學(xué)進(jìn)度，本書的拼音部分和課文部分是分開編寫的，教師可以自己決定先由哪個(gè)部分開始教或同步進(jìn)行。以下介紹本書的幾個(gè)特點(diǎn)?！　∫?、把“聽說”和“讀寫”分開　　英語為母語的學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)中文時(shí)就像是在學(xué)兩種語言：一種是“聽說”的，一種是“讀寫”的。他們學(xué)“聽說”的中文很快，但用漢字讀寫的中文對(duì)他們來說很難，學(xué)起來也很慢。有人形容聽說讀寫并進(jìn)的教法就像讓牛拉著汽車走，結(jié)果汽車也走不快了。 《兒童趣味中文》就是想適應(yīng)英語為母語的小學(xué)生的特點(diǎn)，把“聽說”和“讀寫”分開來教，　讓他們開快車學(xué)聽和說，學(xué)習(xí)漢字的讀和寫則放慢速度循序漸進(jìn)。中文可以看做有兩個(gè)書寫系統(tǒng)：拼音是中文標(biāo)準(zhǔn)發(fā)音的書寫系統(tǒng)，漢字是閱讀的書寫系統(tǒng)。考慮到英語為母語的學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)特點(diǎn)，這套書的第一冊(cè)沒有教漢字，而是重點(diǎn)教“聽說”和拼音的書寫系統(tǒng)?！　《?、采用英語和其他外語對(duì)兒童的教育，以教字母系統(tǒng)開始　　拼音實(shí)際上不是為外國(guó)人學(xué)漢語發(fā)明的，而是經(jīng)過中國(guó)語言學(xué)家們?cè)?9世紀(jì)末20世紀(jì)初二十幾年開展切音字運(yùn)動(dòng)的努力和五十年代的再努力，而發(fā)展出的一套中國(guó)人的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)發(fā)音的標(biāo)注方案。把拼音學(xué)好才能讓學(xué)生們掌握標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的漢語普通話發(fā)音。

內(nèi)容概要

Easy Chinese for Kids is designed for elementary students with no Chinese background. It focuses first on listening and speaking, and then on reading and writing to effectively improve students' overall communication skills. The introduction to Pinyin at the beginning of this book helps young children learn to pronounce and understand Chinese correctly. Ten lessons in the textbook, which can also be taught separately from the Pinyin lessons, teach students Chinese words on colors, numbers, family members, animals, shapes, food and drinks, telling time etc., while progressing to simple and practical dialogs. Each lesson has colorful images, new words and simple sentences. It is designed in accordance with LOTE (Languages Other Than English) Standards of various states. Please note the Pinyin lessons and textbook can be used independently or as a set.
