The peopleof the city talked about him: The young King spends all his timeadmiring statues, they said. Beauty and art are the mostimportant things for him. In fact the young King was sofascinated with 2 beautiful objects that he wanted more of them.He sent merchants 3 to India to buy ivory and jade. He sent mento Persia for silk carpets, and others to find amber 4 in the north.He sent servants to look for green turquoise s in the magic tombsof the Egyptian kings. The young King thought about all these things but most of allhe thought about his coronation 6 robe. He was sixteen and it was his coronation day the next day. Hewas very happy because he had a beautiful coronation robe ofgold, a crown of rubies z and a sceptre 8 of pearls. He ordered mento work night and day to prepare his coronation robes.
