內(nèi)容概要

純潔、美麗的寶嘉康蒂是印第安一個(gè)部落首領(lǐng)的女兒。1607年，白人探險(xiǎn)家闖入了她的家鄉(xiāng)，與印第安人發(fā)生了沖突。但她向白人伸出了友愛之手，兩次救了約翰·史密斯上尉的命，又與白人青年締結(jié)良緣。寶嘉康蒂芳齡早逝，但她的勇氣卻人人稱頌，世代相傳。　　寶嘉康蒂實(shí)有其人，她是第一個(gè)與白人通婚的印第安女子，其后代至今生活在美國(guó)弗吉尼亞州。她的故事被迪士尼公司拍成動(dòng)畫片《風(fēng)中奇緣》。

　　Pocahontas was always happy.She ran in the forest and dancedin the fields.She sat on the hill and 100ked at the blue sea. On May 6，1607，Pocahontas sat on the hill and she sawsomething strange in the bay.It was a big sailing ship！She wasvery surprised.The sailing ship was something new.It had bigwhite sails and flags.She looked at it for a long time.Where did itcome from？Why was it there？She was very excited. Pocahontas ran to her village to tell her father and brother thene ws. Father j father！she said。There|S a big sailing ship in the bay！It has white sails and colored flags！ Her father，Chief Powhatan，was outside his longhouse.He was a tall man.with long black hair.He wore the feathers of an Indian chief on his head. He listened to the news，but he was not happy. The white men are here l。Powhatan said sadly. This is bad news for our people.There is no peace with the white men here.
