新策略大學(xué)英語讀寫教程

內(nèi)容概要

歷經(jīng)全國高校三年的試行，2007年7月，教育部印發(fā)了新的《大學(xué)英語課程教學(xué)要求》(以下簡稱為《教學(xué)要求》)，作為我國高校組織大學(xué)英語課程教學(xué)的主要依據(jù)?！督虒W(xué)要求》是對我國近20年來大學(xué)英語教學(xué)改革的總結(jié)，也是有關(guān)未來我國高校大學(xué)英語教學(xué)改革方向的指導(dǎo)性權(quán)威文件?！督虒W(xué)要求》明確了大學(xué)英語教學(xué)的性質(zhì)和目標(biāo)，指出：“大學(xué)英語是以外語教學(xué)理論為指導(dǎo)，以英語語言知識與應(yīng)用技能、跨文化交際和學(xué)習(xí)策略為主要內(nèi)容，并多種教學(xué)模式和教學(xué)手段為一體的教學(xué)體系?！薄督虒W(xué)要求》還明確子大學(xué)英語教學(xué)目標(biāo)是“培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的英語綜合應(yīng)用能力，特別是聽說能力，使他們在今后學(xué)習(xí)、工作和社會交往中能用英語有效地進(jìn)行交際，同時增強(qiáng)其自主學(xué)習(xí)能力，提高綜合文化素養(yǎng)，以適應(yīng)我國社會發(fā)展和國際交流的需要?！?br />針對我國幅員遼闊，各地區(qū)、各高校之間情況差異較大，《、教學(xué)要求》提出了“大學(xué)英語教學(xué)應(yīng)貫徹分類指導(dǎo)、因材施教的原則，以適應(yīng)個性化的實際要求”。這說明高校大學(xué)英語教學(xué)工作既要服從我國大學(xué)英語教學(xué)改革的主流方向，同時也應(yīng)根據(jù)不同地區(qū)的實際情況摸索出一條有地方特色的創(chuàng)新道路。
基于《教學(xué)要求》對于大學(xué)英語課程的性質(zhì)和目標(biāo)的規(guī)定，以及對各高校大學(xué)英語教學(xué)的要求，廈門理工學(xué)院、漳州師范學(xué)院和廈門大學(xué)出版社三方共同策劃，聯(lián)合編寫了這一套服務(wù)于我國東南沿海地區(qū)高校的大學(xué)英語教材。
 編寫原則：
《新策略大學(xué)英語讀寫教程》根據(jù)教育部新頒發(fā)的《教學(xué)要求》(2007年)、全國大學(xué)英語四六級考試委員會編印的新版《大學(xué)英語四級考試大綱》(2006年)、《大學(xué)英語六級考試大綱》(2006年)及教育部頒發(fā)的其他有關(guān)大學(xué)英語教學(xué)改革的重要文件為主要依據(jù)，并根據(jù)我國東南沿海高校的特點(diǎn)進(jìn)行編寫，供大學(xué)英語課程的一般要求和較高要求層次的教學(xué)使用。
《新策略大學(xué)英語讀寫教程》的編寫方針是：(I)保持語言知識的輸入和語言輸出能力培養(yǎng)的平衡。重視將學(xué)生的語言知識的輸入與輸出相結(jié)合，一方面通過閱讀訓(xùn)練，讓學(xué)生吸收英語語言知識，另一方面又通過寫作訓(xùn)練，提高學(xué)生的英語語言表達(dá)水平。(2)充分考慮文化的多元性，保持各種文化間的平衡。在選擇的教學(xué)材料中，既有外國文化的介紹，也有中國文化，特別是本土文化的闡釋；既有對現(xiàn)代社會的展示，也有對古老文明的追尋。其目的一方面是促進(jìn)中國學(xué)生吸取其他民族特有的優(yōu)秀品質(zhì)，使他們的知識結(jié)構(gòu)、思維模式和人格修養(yǎng)在語言和文化的熏陶中得到調(diào)整和完善。另一方面則是為了傳播優(yōu)秀中國文化，改善中國學(xué)生在介紹中國五千年文明時，對于許多傳統(tǒng)文化價值概念和具有典型中國特色的事物無法“脫口而出”的“失語”現(xiàn)象。(3)“教”與“學(xué)”的平衡。本套教材吸收了近幾年來國內(nèi)外英語教學(xué)科研的成果，設(shè)計時突出以學(xué)生為中心，不僅考慮教師如何“教”而且重視學(xué)生如何“學(xué)”，突出學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)策略的培養(yǎng)和語言應(yīng)用技能的提高，鼓勵學(xué)生主動地創(chuàng)造性地學(xué)習(xí)。希望通過“教”與“學(xué)”的結(jié)合，使學(xué)生的綜合英語水平得到迅速的提高。

　　Obviously， the concept of climbing the career ladder isantiquated. Rather than “moving up“ in one organization， you willfind yourself moving up， down， and even off the ladder. It could， infact， seem more like a maze， with many twists and turns， stops andstarts.　　My own concept of career is like a wardrobe， where you “tryon“ different outfits throughout your lifetime， and continue to checkthe mirror to see if it still fits and matches your current style and taste.In the modern world of work， you will need to find work that is“suited“ to you. Think of your life's work as your wardrobe. It isever-changing as you move through life， changing as your styles andinterests change. Throughout the process， you will be tailoringyourself to fit different roles， and to meet changing work styles andexpectations. Thus， today， the way in which we go about planningand strategizing our work life is constantly changing. We are taking amore proactive——therefore more exciting and challenging approach——to managing which way our career takes us.　　People are daring to walk their unique paths， and ignoringtraditional routes. In fact， tomorrow' s jobs are relatively unknown tous at this time， as there will be new titles and new career fields thatwill develop. If a modern career is like a wardrobe， you will wearmany kinds of outfits throughout a lifetime， sometimes mixing andmatching ensembles， but always checking to see that it still reflectsyour current style and remains a good fit. It has been said that clothesmake the man——what you are displaying to the world through yourchoice of clothing is how you express yourself. Similarly， how youexpress yourself and what you value is reflected in the work you chooseto perform.　　As Mark Twain said， “There is no security in life， onlyopportunity，2 Given today's changing times， we cannot hold onto one idea for very long——there is so much good work that must be done to help us evolve to our fullest potential. We are multi-talented ，multi-faceted beings with many gifts to share. We cannot lock ourselves into any one job or job path. We must walk our path， but remain flexible and open to new experiences. We also need to learn our lessons along the way. Each job， no matter how small， is meaningful and is part of our career plan in that we are always building onto our careers. Today's work will prepare us for tomorrow' s opportunities.
