論跨文化倫理對翻譯的規(guī)約

內(nèi)容概要

20世紀(jì)70年代翻譯研究的“文化轉(zhuǎn)向”，將翻譯放置于更為廣闊的文化語境中考察，成為翻譯研究歷史上具有劃時代意義的重要變革。然而，已有的研究較多停留于尋求翻譯過程及結(jié)果的目的文化動因，其前提在于假定翻譯行為相關(guān)的雙文化或多文化在歷史、國際地位、態(tài)度、價值觀念等方面彼此平等，理所當(dāng)然地將翻譯理論及實踐放置于公正、民主、互利的文化交流背景中。較深入的探討表現(xiàn)為后殖民主義翻譯和女性主義翻譯，這兩類研究著眼于如何以翻譯為中介，促成、揭示或抵制殖民、新殖民、性別歧視等行為，強調(diào)若干翻譯策略及文本選擇的文化功能，為維護跨文化倫理這一終極目標(biāo)發(fā)揮了不可或缺的作用，但在經(jīng)歷了一段時間的熱潮后，進展平緩，人云亦云的討論較多，仍然留有許多有待解決的問題。本書嘗試通過系統(tǒng)地研究跨文化倫理對翻譯的規(guī)約，突破翻譯研究在“文化轉(zhuǎn)向”后無視或輕視翻譯的負(fù)面文化效應(yīng)的傾向，突破少數(shù)民族和弱勢文化立場局限，促進翻譯研究在多元文化共存的格局下，更客觀、更有效地履行文化功能。
