In ~o Paulo, South Americas biggest city, local mediasaid 2. million people celebrated at the Avenida Paulista, Brazils financial center.　　In Sydney one of the first cities to celebrate the New Year　one million revellers cheered asfireworks sprayed from the iconic Harbor Bridge.
