內(nèi)容概要

根據(jù)教育部規(guī)定，中央廣播電視大學(xué)“開放教育”本科層次學(xué)歷教育的學(xué)生與現(xiàn)代遠(yuǎn)程教育試點高校網(wǎng)絡(luò)教育學(xué)院的學(xué)生必須參加部分公共課的全國統(tǒng)一考試?！按髮W(xué)英語(A)”是本科英語專業(yè)學(xué)生必考的英語課程，本書專為應(yīng)考的學(xué)生提供考前有效的熱身訓(xùn)練與有針對性的指導(dǎo)。    根據(jù)教育部網(wǎng)考辦頒布的最新的“大學(xué)英語(A)考試大綱”(2007年修訂版)，“大學(xué)英語(A)”從2008年起全部采用機(jī)考的形式，考試時間為90分鐘，試卷結(jié)構(gòu)與題型如下：    第一部分閱讀理解該部分占試卷總分的30％，含2篇短文，共10個小題，每題3分。主要考核學(xué)生理解主旨要義，查找具體信息，根據(jù)上下文推測詞義及概括和推斷能力。    第二部分  詞匯與結(jié)構(gòu)該部分占試卷總分的20％，共10個多項選擇題，每題2分。主要考核學(xué)生對基本語法和常用詞匯的掌握及運用能力。    第三部分  完型填空該部分占試卷總分的20％，含l篇短文，共10個多項選擇小題，每題2分。主要考核學(xué)生對詞匯、句法和篇章知識的掌握及綜合運用能力。    第四部分漢譯英  該部分占試卷總分的l0％，共2個小題，每題5分。主要考核學(xué)生的單句翻譯能力，要求學(xué)生將2個中文句子翻譯成英文，做到譯文通順、達(dá)意。    第五部分  寫作該部分占試卷總分的20％，要求學(xué)生根據(jù)命題寫出一篇不少于150詞的短文。主要考核學(xué)生的短文寫作能力，是對學(xué)生書面表達(dá)能力的全面考查。    本書由兩部分構(gòu)成：第一部分為專項練習(xí)，第二部分為仿真自測。第一部分介紹了各類題型的應(yīng)試技巧，并提供了相應(yīng)的專項練習(xí)，學(xué)生可以根據(jù)自身的學(xué)習(xí)需要，分項進(jìn)行強(qiáng)化練習(xí)，固本培元。第二部分提供了20套完整的仿真自測試題，供學(xué)生平時練習(xí)使用，學(xué)生可限時逐套完成，以便不斷提高應(yīng)試能力與英語運用水平。專項練習(xí)與仿真自測試題之后均附有答案與題解，幫助學(xué)生進(jìn)行自我檢測，自我解決疑惑，查找學(xué)習(xí)中的漏洞與不足。    本書配有CD—ROM學(xué)習(xí)光盤。CD—ROM學(xué)習(xí)光盤是對本書內(nèi)容的．支持與擴(kuò)展，主要由三大板塊構(gòu)成：第一板塊為單項訓(xùn)練，提供基于各類題型的專項練習(xí)；第二板塊為仿真自測，提供20套完整的仿真自測試題；第三板塊為隨機(jī)組題，由光盤隨機(jī)組題，供學(xué)生自測訓(xùn)練。三大板塊的練習(xí)均提供及時反饋，其中第二板塊的20套仿真自測試題完全在模擬機(jī)考的環(huán)境下進(jìn)行，要求學(xué)生在限定的90分鐘內(nèi)完成。另外，光盤中特別嵌入了指導(dǎo)教師的角色，指導(dǎo)教師通過視頻提供應(yīng)試指導(dǎo)。

　　The greatest recent social changes have been in the lives of women. During the twentieth centurythere has been a remarkable shortening of the time of a womans life spent in caring for children. In theWest a woman marrying at the end of the nineteenth century would probably have been in her middletwenties, and would be likely to have seven or eight children, of whom four or five lived till they werefive years old. By the time the youngest was fifteen, the mother would have been in her early fifties andwould expect to live a further twenty years, during which health made it unusual for her to get paidwork. Today women marry younger and have fewer children. Usually a womans youngest child will befifteen when she is forty-five and can be expected to live another thirty-five years and is likely to takepaid work until retirement at sixty. Even while she has to take care of children, her work is lightened bymodern living conditions.　　This important change in womens life-pattern has only recently begun to have its full effect onwomens economic position. Even a few years ago most girls left schools at the first chance, and most ofthem took a full-time job. However, when they married, they usually left work at once and neverreturned to it. Today the school-leaving age is sixteen; many girls stay at school after that age, andthough women usually marry younger, more married women stay at least until shortly before their firstchild is born. Very many more afterwards return to full or part-time work. Such chadges have led to anew relationship in marriage, with the husband accepting a greater share of the duties and satisfactionsof family life, and with both husband and wife sharing more equally in providing the money, andrunning the home, according to the abilities and interests of each of them.
