中美交際風格比較研究

內容概要

本書從口語交際和語篇組織結構兩個視角來比較中美文化的交際風格，這兩個視角不僅與信息交流有關，而且與交際中的社會關系的處理有關。本書指出，間接式與直接式風格在中美文化中分別占有主導地位，這種差異不僅體現在口語的交往方面，而且也體現在筆語的語篇組織結構方面。這種相同或一致性表明，中美之間在交際風格方面的差異絕不是偶然現象。這是中國人和美國人在日常交際，甚至在學術寫作中系統(tǒng)的和一貫的做法。本書的分析和探討證實了中國文化中的交際與語篇組織結構對間接式風格更為側重，而美國文化中的交際與語篇組織結構對直接式風格更為側重。盡管幾乎所有的文化在日常的交往與交際中都采用這兩種風格，然而，側重程度因文化而異。為了分析和解釋兩國文化的交際與語篇組織結構風格的差異，書中提供了一個框架。
