前言

　　橫亙于案的這一巨冊(cè)《莎士比亞全集》可謂劃時(shí)代的作品匯集。我所謂的“劃時(shí)代”，非指莎士比亞作品本身的價(jià)值。在許多學(xué)者眼中，莎氏作品的價(jià)值不僅僅屬于某個(gè)歷史階段，而是——用本·瓊森的話來說——屬于所有的時(shí)代。所以，我這里所謂的“劃時(shí)代”是另有所指。我指的是這部由享譽(yù)世界的英國皇家莎士比亞劇團(tuán)隆重推出的《莎士比亞全集》輝煌的輯注成就。毫無疑問，這部全集的編輯原則與撰注實(shí)績，與前此所有林林總總的莎士比亞版本判然有別。它一舉打破了延續(xù)300多年的傳統(tǒng)莎士比亞著作輯注取向，開創(chuàng)了嶄新的輯注、闡釋原則與獨(dú)特的審美趣味。

內(nèi)容概要
