內(nèi)容概要

作者簡介
作者：(英國)燕瑞博 (Rcbert W.Swallow) 燕瑞博（1878—1938），原名Robert William Swallow，英國人，1878年出生于浙江寧波，1902年在英國大學(xué)畢業(yè)后返回中國，到山醇大學(xué)任教。1912-1916年在北京大學(xué)預(yù)科任英文教員，第一次世界大戰(zhàn)后在河南福中公司任職。他以研究中國古董著稱，在上海英文報(bào)紙《字林西報(bào)》發(fā)表了很多有關(guān)中國風(fēng)俗及古董的文章。燕瑞博性格狂放不羈，能講一口流利、地道的中文。同中國人相處融洽，與中國各階層官員接觸自如無間。他從教多年，對(duì)中國學(xué)生十分熟悉。燕瑞博很好地融入了中國社會(huì)，稱得上是 “中國通”。其他著作有 《中國古鏡圖說》（Ancient Chinese Bronze Mirrors，1937）。
