新視野大學英語

前言

　　《新視野大學英語》是一套與現(xiàn)代信息技術相結(jié)合的立體化大學英語教材，由教材、光盤、網(wǎng)絡等多種載體構(gòu)成，體現(xiàn)了新的教學理念與教學模式，旨在培養(yǎng)學習者的英語綜合應用能力。這套教材自2001年出版以來，系統(tǒng)地、創(chuàng)造性地將計算機網(wǎng)絡技術引入大學英語教學，取得了很好的教學效果，也廣受使用者好評。從這一意義上講，《新視野大學英語》倡導了新的教學理念，開拓了教學視既擴展了學習空間，對我國大學英語教學的發(fā)展起到了推動作用?！　‰S著我國大學英語教學的發(fā)展、現(xiàn)代教育技術的進步以及國家大學英語教學方針的確立，《新視野大學英語》又以嶄新的面貌走進大學英語課堂?！缎乱曇按髮W英語》的編者遵循教育部的指導，依據(jù)新的課程教學要求，結(jié)合實際使用中的反饋意見，經(jīng)過近三年認真細致的調(diào)研與策劃，對第一版教材進行了修訂與完善，推出《新視野大學英語》（第二版），以滿足新形勢下大學英語教學的需求?！　檫m應我國高等教育發(fā)展的新形勢，深化教學改革，提高教學質(zhì)量，滿足新時期國家和社會對人才培養(yǎng)的需要，教育部2007年7月以教高廳[2007]3號文件頒發(fā)了《大學英語課程教學要求》（簡稱《課程要求》），作為高等學校組織非英語專業(yè)本科生英語教學的主要依據(jù)?！　　墩n程要求》進一步界定了大學英語的教學性質(zhì)：“大學英語是以外語教學理論為指導，以英語語言知識與應用技能、跨文化交際和學習策略為主要內(nèi)容，并集多種教學模式和教學手段為一體的教學體系”；同時明確了大學英語的教學目標是“培養(yǎng)學生的英語綜合應用能力，特別是聽說能力，使他們在今后學習、工作和社會交往中能用英語有效地進行交際，同時增強其自主學習能力，提高綜合文化素養(yǎng)，以適應我國社會發(fā)展和國際交流的需要”。

內(nèi)容概要

《新視野大學英語》(第二版)系列教材是普通高等教育“十一五”國家級規(guī)劃教材。本教材在保持第一版優(yōu)勢的基礎上，依據(jù)《大學英語課程教學要求》的精神及大學英語教學的發(fā)展方向，對整體結(jié)構(gòu)和內(nèi)容進行了全面完善和提高。作為一套與現(xiàn)代信息技術相結(jié)合的立體化大學英語教材，《新視野大學英語》(第二版)通過課本、光盤、網(wǎng)絡等不同載體的有機結(jié)合，為新形勢下的大學英語教學提供多層次、多渠道、立體化的服務。
《新視野大學英語讀寫教程(4教師用書第2版普通高等教育十一五國家級規(guī)劃教材)》(總主編鄭樹棠)為該系列中的一本。

　　Many developing countries are planning to invest vast sums of money in their telecommunicationsnetworks to allow them to compete with developed countries. China plans to spend $100 billion onthe basic facilities to allow it to become an important part of the information superhighway. Shanghaiplans to be as electronically advanced as the City of New York in order to realize its dream ofbecoming a major financial center. However, some experts fear that some developing countries aretrying to do too much too soon. Vietnam, in particular, while lacking enough telephones of any type,is determined to invest in the most expensive and newest technology. Others see Vietnams gamble asjust what is needed to help them keep pace with other Asian economic powers.1. To compete with the developed countries.2. China hopes to become an important part of the information superhighway.
