內(nèi)容概要

　　本書選取了最前沿最時(shí)尚的十個(gè)領(lǐng)域作為本書的學(xué)習(xí)素材，涵蓋了科技領(lǐng)域的方方面面，包括數(shù)學(xué)中的博弈論、生物制藥、基因工程、十大電信技術(shù)、計(jì)算機(jī)、網(wǎng)絡(luò)、無線通信、軟硬材料、微機(jī)械及航天技術(shù)與宇宙學(xué)。選取的材料為2004年至今在Science，Discover，Science News，Newsweek，Scientific American等知名雜志上發(fā)表的文獻(xiàn)。本書共十個(gè)單元。每單元分為Text A和Text B。Text A為精讀，教師對課文中的背景知識(shí)及語言點(diǎn)做主要講解；Text B為學(xué)生課下自學(xué)內(nèi)容。每單元除單詞表外，還列出了相關(guān)短語、語言點(diǎn)講解及課文注釋，并配有大量練習(xí)。此外，本書還結(jié)合科技英語特點(diǎn)編寫了科技英語閱讀技巧、科技英語翻譯技巧以及科技英語編譯技巧，并附有相關(guān)練習(xí)以供學(xué)生操練。
