《社會研究基礎(chǔ)》（The Basics of Social Research）是外研社為滿足大學(xué)雙語教學(xué)的需要推出的社會學(xué)精品原版教材系列中的一本。該教材由美國的社會學(xué)專家Earl Babbie撰寫，是講授社會學(xué)研究方法與技巧的經(jīng)典基礎(chǔ)性教程。全書共分為四個部分：    １.社會學(xué)研究的基本概念、方法論和主要范式及社會研究的倫理。    ２.如何使一項研究變得可以實施——研究設(shè)計、概念量化、測量技術(shù)及抽樣邏輯。    ３.搜集資料的主要模式——實驗方法、問卷調(diào)查、定性的實地研究等等。    ４.數(shù)據(jù)研究中的定性和定量數(shù)據(jù)分析方法。    該教材為2002年第二版，內(nèi)容深入淺出，案例豐富，循序漸進，便于學(xué)習(xí)和教學(xué)，適用于社會學(xué)專業(yè)和相關(guān)專業(yè)的本科高年級學(xué)生和研究生，也適用于社會科學(xué)研究者參考。
