內(nèi)容概要

本書(shū)為北京外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)院所編《大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教程》(College English),供大學(xué)英語(yǔ)本科高年級(jí)閱讀課使用。   進(jìn)入高年級(jí)階段，閱讀課應(yīng)以提高學(xué)生自學(xué)能力、利用辭典及其它工具書(shū)獨(dú)立解決語(yǔ)言及背景知識(shí)的難點(diǎn)、正確理解課文及作者的觀點(diǎn)為主要目的。因此，本書(shū)注釋力求精簡(jiǎn)，一般只包括在學(xué)生現(xiàn)有的工具書(shū)中較難查到的背景知識(shí)。有的語(yǔ)言或背景知識(shí)難點(diǎn)是“練習(xí)”要求學(xué)生解答的，未列入“注釋”。
