內(nèi)容概要

本書為北京外國語學(xué)院所編《大學(xué)英語教程》(College English),供大學(xué)英語本科高年級閱讀課使用。   進(jìn)入高年級階段，閱讀課應(yīng)以提高學(xué)生自學(xué)能力、利用辭典及其它工具書獨(dú)立解決語言及背景知識的難點(diǎn)、正確理解課文及作者的觀點(diǎn)為主要目的。因此，本書注釋力求精簡，一般只包括在學(xué)生現(xiàn)有的工具書中較難查到的背景知識。有的語言或背景知識難點(diǎn)是“練習(xí)”要求學(xué)生解答的，未列入“注釋”。
