英語(yǔ)中級(jí)聽(tīng)力

前言

2錄音材料選自英美的錄音材料。全書(shū)共有36課。每課由三個(gè)部分組成，形式活潑多樣，涉及了日常生活和社交活動(dòng)的各個(gè)方面。不僅有助于提高學(xué)生的聽(tīng)力技能，也有益于提高學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)交際能力。《教師用書(shū)》包括錄音的書(shū)面材料、練習(xí)及答案和補(bǔ)充閱讀材料三個(gè)部分。為了便于教師上課時(shí)使用，配有答案的練習(xí)排印在每部分的書(shū)面材料之后。第二冊(cè)的補(bǔ)充閱讀材料均以課文中所涉及的英美風(fēng)俗和文化特色為主題。教師可以在教學(xué)中選擇部分內(nèi)容向?qū)W生作一些介紹，以擴(kuò)大學(xué)生的知識(shí)面。

作者簡(jiǎn)介

何其莘，男，出生于1947年7月，廣東大埔縣人。英語(yǔ)教授，博士生導(dǎo)師，中共黨員。曾任北京外國(guó)語(yǔ)大學(xué)副校長(zhǎng)，博士生導(dǎo)師，首都師范大學(xué)首席英語(yǔ)教授，清華大學(xué)、浙江大學(xué)、武漢大學(xué)等十幾所國(guó)內(nèi)知名院校客座教授，現(xiàn)擔(dān)任教育部高校專業(yè)外語(yǔ)教學(xué)指導(dǎo)委員會(huì)副主任、英語(yǔ)組組長(zhǎng)。在國(guó)內(nèi)外發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文幾十篇。著名的《新概念英語(yǔ)》作者。

　　These include the American　　Medical Association， the American Cancer Society， the American Heart Association， the American Public Health Association， the National Tuberculosis Association，　the American College of Chest Physicians， and the World Health Organization. The unifomity of opinions is reflected in a statement by US Surgeon General Luther Terry： "I know of no organized medical or scientific body in the world which States that cigarette smoking is not a serious health hazard." A National Interagency Council on Smoking and Health， composed of 18 major health， educational， and youth leadership organizations， provides leadership and liaison for nationwide educational programs in the United States.　　in ！966， as a result of legislation passed by the US Congress in 1965， the federal government instituted a requirement that each package， box， or container of cigarettes carry a label reading "Caution： cigarette smoking may be hazardous to your health. " On Jan.　　2， 1971， a US government ban on all cigarette advertising on radio and television became effective.　　The Industrys Stand. The tobacco industry in 1954 established the Tobacco Industry Research Council， later redesignated the Council for Tobacco Research - U. S.A. In 10 years the council granted more than $ 7 million to scientists for research into the question of tobacco and health. In 1964， after Smoking and Health had been released， the council issued its own 71-page Report of the Scientific Director， in which Dr. Clarence Cook Little wrote.
