　　Peking Opera (Beijing Opera), as the most popular form of
traditional Chinese theater, has drawn more and more attention from
international friends. The performers’ speech, song, dance, combat,
and facial expressions, along with their colorful facial makeup,
delicate and gorgeous costumes, all emit infinite charm. This book
gives a comprehensive introduction of Peking Opera’s origin, types
of performers, costumes, facial makeup, performing procedure,

作者簡介

　　莫麗蕓，北京外國語大學(xué)中文系博士，擅長中國文化研究，曾出版《唐詩里的衣食住行》、《宋詞里衣食住行》、《美人美茶》等圖書。
　　Mo Liyun, graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University with
doctor’s degree on Chinese language and literature, being expert in
Chinese culture research, with several publications such as The
Clothing Food Housing and Transportation in the Poetry of Tang
Dynasty, The Clothing Food Housing and Transportation in the Verse
of Song Dynasty, Beautiful People and Beautiful Tea, etc.

版權(quán)頁：插圖：京劇行當(dāng)中的凈行，俗稱“花臉”，以各種色彩勾勒的圖案化的臉譜化妝為突出標(biāo)志，表現(xiàn)的是在性格氣質(zhì)上粗獷、奇?zhèn)ァ⒑肋~的男性人物形象。凈行的角色范圍很廣，文武老少、富貴貧賤都有，演唱風(fēng)格比老生豪邁洪亮，在演唱時(shí)用寬音、鼻音和假音演唱，講究胸腔和顱腔的共鳴，唱得很有韻味和氣勢。凈角的念白一般多念韻白，同樣講究氣勢。凈行又細(xì)分為正凈、副凈和武凈。正凈又叫“唱工花臉”，扮演的多是威嚴(yán)穩(wěn)重的忠臣良將形象。唱工花臉還有兩個(gè)專門名稱：銅錘花臉和黑頭花臉。Jing roles, popularly known as painted-face roles, are characterised by patternedpainted faces of different colours. Theseroles are mostly men with rugged,macho and gallant dispositions.Thereare various kinds of painted-face roles,martial and non-martial, old and young,rich and poor, great and small. Whenthey are performed, the singing shouldbe louder and more sonorous than that ofold male roles, with the combined use offlattened voice, nasal voice and falsetto,characterized by the consonance in thethoracic and cranial cavities. It should beelegant and vigorous.When it comes toreciting, rhymed reciting is used in mostcases, and stress is also laid on vigour.Painted-face roles can be furtherclassified into positive （i.e. hero）,supporting and martial painted-face maleroles.
