作者簡介
赫伯特·喬治·威爾斯(Herbert George Wells
1866-1946),英國著名小說家,尤以科幻小說創(chuàng)作聞名于世。1895年出版《時(shí)間機(jī)器》一舉成名,隨后又發(fā)表了《莫洛博士島》、《隱身人》、《星際戰(zhàn)爭》等多部科幻小說。他還是一位社會(huì)改革家和預(yù)言家,曾是費(fèi)邊社的重要成員,會(huì)晤過羅斯福和斯大林,撰寫了《基普斯》、《托諾-邦蓋》、《波里先生和他的歷史》、《勃列林先生看穿了他》、《恩惠》、《預(yù)測》、《世界史綱》等大量關(guān)注現(xiàn)實(shí),思考未來的作品。
