作者簡(jiǎn)介

聞春國(guó)，安徽合肥人，高級(jí)翻譯，中國(guó)翻譯協(xié)會(huì)專家會(huì)員，四川省作家協(xié)會(huì)會(huì)員。近十年來(lái)廣泛涉獵外國(guó)文學(xué)的翻譯工作，尤其是幽默微型小說(shuō)，先后在《世界文學(xué)》、《譯林》、《啄木鳥(niǎo)》、《百花園》、《科幻世界》和《青年參考》等國(guó)內(nèi)大型報(bào)刊上發(fā)表了譯作三百多篇、一百二十多萬(wàn)字，其中有不少短篇小說(shuō)被多家報(bào)刊競(jìng)相轉(zhuǎn)載，或被國(guó)內(nèi)外國(guó)文學(xué)專輯收錄。此外，還結(jié)集出版有《2001年度美國(guó)最佳科幻小說(shuō)選》、《謝克里最佳科幻小說(shuō)集》（續(xù)）、《美國(guó)最佳科幻小說(shuō)年度選》（第21輯），并推出《安娜·卡瑟琳·格林系列偵探推理小說(shuō)》專輯。

You don't suppose he tookit do you？" The priest said, "Well, I doubt it, but I'll write hima letter just tO make Sure." So he sat down and wrote:Dear Father O'Connell, I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation at dinner the othernight and hope we have the opportunity to do so again. On another matter. We had a beautiful silver ladle whichwas a gift from a parishioner that comes to visit from time totime. The ladle has come up missing and I would be veryembarrassed to invite her over and notice the missing ladle. It is very important that it be found.. Now, I'm not saying that you "did" take a gravy ladlefrom my house, and I'm not saying you "did not" take a gravy ladle. But the fact remains that it has been missing ever sinceyou were here. Several days later the elderly priest received a letter from the young priest which read: Dear Father Flannigan, I also enjoyed our dinner and conversation and hope not only that we do so again, but also that I be permitted to return the favor. On the other matter. Now, I'm not saying that you "do" sleep with your housekeeper, and rm not saying that you "do not" sleep with your housekeeper. But the fact remains that if you were sleeping in your own bed, you would have found the gravy ladle by now.
