聽力課作為整個外語教學的一部分，是綜合英語課教學的補充和拓展。施心遠主編的《聽力教程（1學生用書第2版）》內(nèi)容涵蓋政治、經(jīng)濟、文化、科技、人文等各個方面題材，同時顧及對話、訪談、短文、專題報道和新聞等各種語境形式，盡量與何兆熊教授總主編的《綜合教程》呼應和配合。
