內容概要

　　本書是普通高等教育十一五國家級規(guī)劃教材，是教育部推薦使用的大學外語類教材。它的目的在于提高英語閱讀速度，以適應目前信息量日益膨脹的現狀。全書共分八個單元，其中每個單元由A-1、A-2和B-1、B-2四篇短文組成。每個單元的A-1和B-1供課堂使用，A-2和B-2供課外閱讀。本書主要供修讀要求較高的學生使用。
