前言
《英語(yǔ)專業(yè)寫(xiě)作》第四冊(cè)共分為四個(gè)部分:(1)英語(yǔ)學(xué)術(shù)寫(xiě)作簡(jiǎn)介;(2)學(xué)術(shù)論文的寫(xiě)作;(3)研究報(bào)告的寫(xiě)作;(4)英語(yǔ)專業(yè)畢業(yè)論文的寫(xiě)作。每部分由五個(gè)單元組成。本書(shū)的基本框架是第一部分介紹英語(yǔ)學(xué)術(shù)寫(xiě)作與學(xué)術(shù)研究的關(guān)系,學(xué)術(shù)寫(xiě)作的基本特征和要求。第二部分介紹以圖書(shū)資料為基礎(chǔ)的學(xué)術(shù)論文的寫(xiě)作要素,以及寫(xiě)好既言之有物,又符合學(xué)術(shù)規(guī)范的研究性學(xué)期論文的方法和步驟。第三部分介紹以實(shí)證研究為基礎(chǔ)的研究報(bào)告的寫(xiě)作,為今后從事英語(yǔ)教學(xué),培養(yǎng)定性和定量研究打下良好基礎(chǔ)。第四部分介紹英語(yǔ)專業(yè)學(xué)士學(xué)位論文的寫(xiě)作,從英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言學(xué)、英語(yǔ)文學(xué)、翻譯和教學(xué)法等方面, 給以翔實(shí)的例證和分析,以期對(duì)英語(yǔ)專業(yè)學(xué)生做好畢業(yè)論文提供參考。貫穿全書(shū)的教學(xué)活動(dòng)涉及:學(xué)術(shù)寫(xiě)作的選題,相關(guān)文獻(xiàn)的檢索和綜述,論文探究問(wèn)題的提煉和表述,論文提綱的編制和修改,論文各個(gè)部分的寫(xiě)作,如:引言、主體、結(jié)語(yǔ)、提要、參考文獻(xiàn)及附錄等。英語(yǔ)學(xué)術(shù)寫(xiě)作是在學(xué)生接受了英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作基本功的訓(xùn)練后,學(xué)習(xí)了初步學(xué)術(shù)研究方法的基礎(chǔ)上,達(dá)到用英語(yǔ)撰寫(xiě)論文的更高要求,也是培養(yǎng)大學(xué)生創(chuàng)新能力的重要環(huán)節(jié)。本書(shū)用簡(jiǎn)潔的語(yǔ)言對(duì)英語(yǔ)學(xué)術(shù)寫(xiě)作的各個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)和要求作了詳細(xì)介紹,并盡量多地提供典型例文給學(xué)生作參考,同時(shí)設(shè)計(jì)了豐富多樣的練習(xí)。我們強(qiáng)調(diào)教學(xué)內(nèi)容介紹、典型例丈示范和參與寫(xiě)作體驗(yàn)并重的教學(xué)方法,學(xué)生在閱讀和課堂教學(xué)中學(xué)習(xí)知識(shí),從典型例文中獲得啟發(fā),在寫(xiě)作體驗(yàn)中逐步提高。正如英語(yǔ)諺語(yǔ)所說(shuō),“Knowing without doing is not knowing at all。”

In recent years, writing has become more and more important in college education. Professor Li Funing from Peking University once made the remark, “Every course is a writing course”(1991). As an English major, in your first three years at college you have probably written many personal essays in English that presented your thoughts, feelings, and opinions. As you start your fourth year, you are facing a variety of writing tasks which become progressively more complex and demanding. Different from those types of writing you have learned, you are now going to learn how to write “academically”.
