前言
為了培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)應(yīng)用文寫(xiě)作能力,以達(dá)到《高職高專(zhuān)教育英語(yǔ)課程教學(xué)基本要求(試行)》的規(guī)定,我們本著一切從學(xué)習(xí)者出發(fā)、為學(xué)習(xí)者著想的意圖,編寫(xiě)了這本易教易學(xué)的《實(shí)用寫(xiě)作教程》。它既可與主干教材緊密配合、穿插使用,又可獨(dú)立于主干教材,供學(xué)習(xí)者自選、自學(xué)、自練;它適合普通高校學(xué)生,更適合以應(yīng)用型、技能型人才為目標(biāo)的高職高專(zhuān)類(lèi)學(xué)生以及各類(lèi)專(zhuān)升本、高中升本科的學(xué)生,同時(shí)也可作為普通的應(yīng)用文寫(xiě)作參考書(shū)?! 镀胀ǜ叩冉逃笆晃濉眹?guó)家級(jí)規(guī)劃教材,新標(biāo)準(zhǔn)高職高專(zhuān)公共英語(yǔ)系列教材·實(shí)用寫(xiě)作教程》全一冊(cè),由28個(gè)單元組成,其內(nèi)容涵蓋了常見(jiàn)的各類(lèi)應(yīng)用文,如:便條、啟事、標(biāo)志語(yǔ)、通知、傳真、電話(huà)記錄、書(shū)信、簡(jiǎn)歷、證書(shū)、合同、協(xié)議等,共約56種,不但涉及范圍廣,而且實(shí)用性強(qiáng)?! ∶繂卧譃槿齻€(gè)部分,采用“寫(xiě)作要點(diǎn)+實(shí)例學(xué)習(xí)(中英文對(duì)照)+點(diǎn)評(píng)+常用句型或詞匯+配套練習(xí)”的編排形式,具體如下: 一、寫(xiě)作要點(diǎn)(Writing tips) 主要對(duì)每單元應(yīng)用文的基本格式、寫(xiě)作特點(diǎn)等進(jìn)行概述,目的是讓學(xué)生對(duì)這種應(yīng)用文有比較全面的認(rèn)識(shí)?! 《?shí)例學(xué)習(xí)(Sample study) 本部分按單元題目分為兩個(gè)部分,每部分盡可能多角度、多層面地展示類(lèi)型各異的應(yīng)用文范例(這些范例來(lái)自包括英國(guó)、美國(guó)、新西蘭、新加坡在內(nèi)的國(guó)家和地區(qū)),并附有中文譯文和點(diǎn)評(píng)。范例中出現(xiàn)的生詞都在“點(diǎn)評(píng)”之后的“難點(diǎn)注釋”中進(jìn)行解釋?zhuān)址奖銓W(xué)生對(duì)照閱讀和理解。兩部分末尾還分別列出了一些相關(guān)的常用句型或詞匯,以便學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)和套用。

It is with great pleasure that Im writing this letter of recommendation for Ms Li Mei, a lecturer in my department who has applied to study in your centre for one year as a visiting scholar. I have known Ms Li for more than 6 years since she came to my department upon her graduation from Beijing University. She is a very experienced and versatile teacher whose teaching ability and research work have impressed me very deeply. She has taught different courses to undergraduates and postgraduates of our university including College English, Advanced English and English Reading. She is now participating in a national English teaching and research project and has published 10 papers on teaching English as a foreign language. In 2002, she was awarded by our university the prize of "Excellent Teacher". Also worthy of being mentioned is her untiring pursuit of excellence in teaching and re-search work. She believes that there is no end to self-improvement, and that is why she is eager to have a chance to study overseas where she hopes she can learn more about the most recent advances in her profession. From what I have known of Ms Li, she is a helpful, cooperative and friendly young lady whose single-minded aim is to pursue a better understanding of what she is doing. I recommend Ms Li strongly and appreciate your favourable consideration of her application.
