內(nèi)容概要

本書放眼世界潮流，對(duì)21世紀(jì)圖書館的功能及業(yè)務(wù)做了比較全面的描繪；既反映了國(guó)際圖書館發(fā)展的一般動(dòng)態(tài)，也闡述了作者在多年工作實(shí)踐中形成的獨(dú)到思考；對(duì)圖書館學(xué)情報(bào)學(xué)專業(yè)師生以及廣大圖情工作者不乏參考價(jià)值，也為一般讀者了解現(xiàn)代圖書館的功能、更好地使用圖書館資源提供了有益的指導(dǎo)；本書初版于1998年，兩次印刷旋即售罄，并先后在日本及臺(tái)灣地區(qū)出版了日文版和中文繁體字版；本次重版根據(jù)近五年來國(guó)內(nèi)外圖書館界的新變化，對(duì)第一版的內(nèi)容做了修訂。

作者簡(jiǎn)介

吳建中，1956年5月生于上海。1978年畢業(yè)于華東師范大學(xué)外語系日語專業(yè)，留校任教。1982年完成該校圖書館學(xué)系研究生課程，獲文學(xué)碩士學(xué)位。1982年起,在上海圖書館工作，先后從事外文采編、聯(lián)合國(guó)文獻(xiàn)資料管理等工作，1985年起任上海圖書館副館長(zhǎng)。1988年赴英留學(xué)，在威
